Weather
raining. Rail out 8m. Favoured on pace inside runners early on. Came wider
later in the day.
No Speed
Ratings on the deep track.
Best three to follow: Paisley Street, Keep Eve, Jafa Jack

One
Nite Stand won this but you couldn’t
back be confident in a harder field next time. She went out the first 600m in
37.23, slightly faster than the other three 1200m races but could only come
home in 39.32 under a ride when lower class horses came home a few lengths
quicker and in faster overall race time. Maybe on a better track she could do
better but I’d prefer to back against her next start depending on what she
lines up against. It doesn’t say much for the beaten brigade.

If there is one horse I could buy here
today this would be the one. Paisley Street led out, galloped
along in the rain relishing his work, kicked hard in the straight, and went
to the line strongly. He went out about 3 lengths slower than the other 1200m
races but was able to come home the fastest beating all the other 1200m
times. I would just fine the deepest tracks I could find to race him on and
stick him in there. Kula Me Kool
showed more fight this time after covering plenty of ground

Outlaw
Queen showed her liking for a heavy
track to draw away over the last 50m.
Both of her wins have been on heavy tracks now. KInarne was outfinished over the last 50m. Kalibrate ran on okay for third and is best when fresh.

Keep Eve is bred to swim and won with a bit in hand here.
She should have no trouble coping with wet tracks over the next few weeks. Hottenov tried hard and there was
daylight to the rest.

Bead
Of Courage had the blinkers go on
and won this easily. She showed a bit last campaign and may go on with it
now. Tarima raced greenly down the
straight and Bad Enough battled on
okay. Tekeela battled in the
ground.

Happy
Drumming jumped well and held the lead.
He kicked well when tackled after turning in and was too strong. Eduardo battled in well for second
and the ground may have been a bit too deep for Sateka.

Cash
Kingdom got a cosy trip and shot
clear 300m out for an easy win. He has had plenty of chances and didn’t beat
much though. Pass on the rest.

Jafa Jack did well to lead all the way here and was eased
down to win well. In similar ground he can go on with it. Anatol battled on okay as did High Calibre. Big Love was a bit too
patiently ridden as he looked to be going well with 1000m to go but the leaders
snuck a winning break before he got going. Ran on well for fourth.

Weak field as indicated by the fact
they went out 1.34 seconds slower than the maidens yet came home 1.60 seconds
slower. Even though they were carrying more weight you can ignore this lot.
