I am introducing a new punting series called Premier Bets. They will be the best placed horses to back throughout the week and weekend. They replace the Punt Like a Pro bets.
This is how it will work. There will be $100 to bet with on the mid-week and Sunday meetings. Plus there will be $200 to bet on Saturday meetings only. Each day I post the selections I will include any Premier Bets, with an indication of whether to back them on Final Fields or on the tote. The target bank is $20,000 within 2 years.
I will still include the Rated price as I know many of you base your bets on that information. The Bet of the Day and Value Bet of the day will still be included.
During the week, I will start with $100 and once that is lost there will be no more Premier bets that week. If the balance increases, I will use any profits to increase it.

12. Flying Frenchman strikes a below average lot here. His last win was here over 2100m on a Slow7 track and the start before that he was a strong closing third at Riccarton on a heavy track. Since then he has struck tracks that have been too good or too short for him. Today he strikes a distance and track condition that he needs. With the 3kg allowance he is weighted to win. Brittany More will no doubt settle him back but he is a horse you can’t sit and push the button on- he needs to be wound up well out.
