Some Blackbookers over the last week are below:
Divine Elite won like a very good horse in the second race at Te Aroha over 1600m. His action suggests he will handle slow tracks so can be followed with confidence over the next few weeks.
Needlepoint in the third race at Rotorua got back off a strong tempo and couldn’t get clear running till 200m out. She then found the line well for fifth. Eagle Bay was a horse she beat at Ellerslie so has the ability to win at least a maiden.
Cote D’Or in the sixth race was always going to find it hard to win that race with the slow tempo, so did very well to get up for second late from the rear. She is right on track for the big race at Te Aroha in three weeks.
Astor in the sixth race at Trentham did very well after getting back, working wide to get handy and was checked late. She looks like she will be even better after a few months in the paddock.
Damesfly in the seventh race at Ashburton was run down late by a horse that is going to win a few more races. Very fit now.
