Some blackbookers out of Saturday are below:
Voler Pour Moi in the fourth race at Te Rapa was going well on the turn but was blocked. Once out just before the 200m mark, she wound up nicely only to be tightened up again. She will be improved by that and her dam, Tin Goose, won three of her four races over 2200m. Ran above average closing sectionals last campaign and looks ready to start winning again.
Sistabeel came from last to run a fast closing fourth in easily the fastest last 600m all day of 34.48. She is likely to be back for the Cambridge Breeders Stakes in two weeks time and the harder they go in that, the harder she will be to keep out.
Manhattan Flame in the last race at Te Rapa came from last after being slow away and ran the fourth fastest last 600m all day and came along the slower inner ground. He ran fourth, under a length from the winner, and won second up last campaign. That pattern looks set to repeat.
Madison County beat a handy field in the third race at Hastings. The way he put his head down and kept finding tells us he is going to have a good career.
Deals In Heals in the seventh race at Hastings was slow away, got back, but the way she ran home in the fastest last 600m of the day, means she is going to start winning very soon, especially on slow and heavy tracks.
