Some Blackbookers from the weekend are below:

Francis Drake in the fifth race at Te Rapa was looking for the gaps at the top of the straight but could not find one till 150 metres out and hit the line hard for third. Ready to win again.

Cherry Bay out of the same race was also unlucky. She was hampered half way down the straight and found the line nicely. Back in R75 company she will be very hard to beat.

Qiji Express was unlucky not to have pushed the winner in race 6 as he only got out 100 metres from the line and charged from there. He looks like another smart horse from the Baker/Forsman stable.

Sarabande just got run off her feet after snagging back from a wide draw. She ran home in 34.73, the fastest of the race, and only finished tenth. On a Slow track next up she has to be harder to beat.

The Man in the second race at Riccarton did very well to get inside one length of the winner after getting back off a slow pace. He looks a natural improver on a wetter track next up.
