$504.00 02 Jun 18

Good morning,

I’ve gone through the Australian fields and can’t find anything worth backing there.

The rail is back to true after being out 6m here last meeting on a heavy track, so should favour on pace runners for the first few races anyway.

If you are in the quaddie syndicate, I’ll post any bets for today ( Terminating Pick 6 at Cambridge may be a bet) by 1 p.m.

Bet of the day Wanganui Race 3 3.Perfect Harmonee $4.20 FF 1st $3.10

Value bet of the day Wanganui race 2 9.Red Tsunami  $6.50 Ff  3rd $1.90

Sneaky of the day Wanganui race 1 2.Thutmosis $11 and $3.50 Ff Missed after working hard to lead.

Race 1

Confidence: 3/5

2.Thutmosis  ran a very good second here two back when just getting beaten. He looked very well at hastings last start but just missed the jump slightly and got too keen in behind others and had nothing left. Drawn wide here which will help him settle on the outer of others, maybe 2nd outer, and with his liking for this track, can settle better there and if he runs up to that run here two back, and his good looks last start, he can upset. RP $5, $11 and $3.50 Ff

5.Ruomaza 1st $5.40    looked good winning his trial after getting back and storming home out wide. 1340m debut will suit ideally. RP $4

9.Thelma  strong third last start and very fit.

Race 2

Confidence: 3/5

9.Red Tsunami  ran home well last start in a stronger R75 race at Te Rapa. She drops back to R65 grade here over 1340m with 2kgs off from Jasmine Fawcett. She maps to get a winning run in behind the leaders and looks well placed to win. She rates clearly on top in the FR after weight adjustments too when 2.7L from Ruby Armani at Elelrslie in an R85 race. RP $3.80. $6.50 FF

1.Ottavio very fit now and will be on the pace.

7.Quantum fitter now and with a good run from the wide draw, is a chance.

Race 3

Confidence: 3/5

3.Perfect Harmonee 1st $3.10  rated 108 last start which was a career best, and the blinkers went on. So third up here on a track he has a 5-1-4 record on and where he maps to get the lead and not taken on too much, he looks set to win. The inside should still be ok. RP $2.60, $4.20 FF

10.Starossa goes well here and drops to a good weight with the 2kgs off.

6.Bruegel 3rd $2.70 has won here on a good track. Freshened up since good placings at Blenheim and maps to get all favours.

Race 4

Confidence:2/5 and depends on how the track is playing.

1.Qiji Express 2nd $1.40   was booted out to lead last start and bolted in. The speed rating was the best all day and his last 600m second fastest all day. On an improving slow 9 track, where he maps to get a good run about 5th or 6th, he is well placed to power over these. RP $3.00, $3.20 FF

3.Wekaforce bolted in also on debut and has good early speed to lead and if the inside is ok can hold on.

2.Secret Allure won well last start and maps to get an ideal run.

4.London Express 1st $6.80  beat a maiden field last start with a good weight advantage. This is harder and at set weights but is a place chance

Race 5

Confidence: 2/5

2.Touch Of Silver was an impressive winner on a heavy loose track last start. This is different but a slow track is ok and in the same grade, with Matt Cameron up, who will suit him, he can lead all the way again. RP $4, $4.20 Ff

7.Duelicious 1st $3.40  gets down to a winning weight and peaking now.

4.Master Patrick rated strongly second up last start. Wide draw could be a plus.

Race 6

Confidence: 2/5

6.Third Time Lucky  3rd $1.30 Tri $63  ran on strongly last start in a handy field and 20140m is what she needs now.

1.Admiral  2nd $1.50 will likely lead and if rail is ok, could steal it.

4.Doiknowyou 1st $7   fitter now and maps to get a winning run.

Race 7

Early speed from 1-3 and 9 and a moderate tempo likely suiting runners in the first half.

Confidence: 2/5

3.Taurus looks set to peak nicely for this third up. He won it third up two years ago and looked ready to improve enough to win this last start giving 10kgs to the smart Art Deco. Maps to get a good run on the pace as well. RP $4, $5 FF

4.Ringo maps to get a good run about 4th or 5th and ready to peak now.

1.Overtheriver  maps to get his way in front again and if the inside is ok, will be hard to run down.

7.She’s Poppy goes well here with two wins and won well fresh up.

Race 8

Confidence: 2/5

1.Ambitious Winner 1st $3.90 qu $5.70  in strong form from the Baker/Forsman stable and drawn wide which could be essential to get to the right part of the track. RP $3.60, $3.80 FF

2.Dez 2nd $1.70   is in for a good season based on his big win fresh up. Wide draw could be a plus too.

3.Jessiegee peaks third and fourth up and looks set to do the same here.

4.Lady Painton will be on the pace with 4kgs off and could steal it.
