5.Abinger strong closing 2nd after getting her chance, $2 two starts back won well in the fastest speed rating all day on a soft track with 4 winners coming out of it. Then last start got back 3 wide with cover off a moderate tempo and kept up a sustained finish to finish third. That was a harder $120k field for fillies. This is and easier field for fillies and she maps to get a good run about 5th or 6th off a moderate to even tempo. The good track suits her action better and she looks well placed to win. Favourite Jessamin got a soft lead on Saturday in a harder field but showed little fight when headed. Ex Kiwi Za Za Gabor ran well in her races here but $3.70 is too short for a maiden that hasn’t run time over these distances. So Abinger looks well placed.
