Friday preview below

Te Teko

Good morning,

Some open fields today but a couple of well placed bets later in the day. An early preview of Saturday will be posted by 3 p.m. and the Heads Up Podcast by 5 p.m.

Two Good confidence bets of 3/5 or more today.

Good luck,

Neil

Bet of the Day Race 6 7.Ritani $5 FF In tight room and once clear ran on ok.

Value bet of the day Race 7 5.Sweet Nineteen $4.50 FF 1st $4.20 and won well

Race 1

Confidence: 1/5

9.The Final Fling ran some handy races last campaign and drove through late to win a recent trial. Ready to fire fresh up from the Baker/Forsman stable.

Dangers:

8.Carreleur good run last start and should be an improver.

Race 2

Confidence: 1/5

8.Back In A Flash looked good winning her trial and a heavy track will suit.

Dangers:

17.Come Back Tiger good second last start and gets 2kgs off.

Race 3

Confidence: 2/5

1.Mofara game second to Bostonian last year and nice 4th in recent trial.

Dangers:

17.Toffee Pop  won her trial strongly. Action says a Slow or better suits though.

Race 4

Confidence: 2/5

4.Twin Spinner  ran on well in the slower ground two starts back for third and last start was checked 300m out but instead of chucking in the towel, picked himself up and came back strongly looking like he would relish more ground now. Gets 3kgs off. RP $4, $5.50

Dangers:

8.Kanumiss has been battling on well and looks an obvious chance from the Baker/Forsman stable.

1.Magic Cannon  fitter now and keeps on fighting when fit.

Race 5

Confidence: 2/5

5.New Crown hit the line hard last start and is ready to strike now from the good draw.

Dangers:

2.Bas De Soie both runs were blackbooked and if the outer is the place to be, she can win.

7.Elle Eye Are won well fresh and flat second up.

9.Bella Blue has won here and fitter after 2 runs back.

Race 6

Confidence: 3/5

9.Ritani looked very good winning on debut after a good trial second. She settled behind midfield and swept up wide on the turn and won strongly. The times and sectional splits compared to the R65 race, which was run next up, tells us she can at least win in that grade. They ran 4 lengths quicker to the 600m mark than the R65 race yet still came home quicker 4 lengths and her individual last 600m was 1.2 lengths quicker than Call me Bob, who won the R65 race then went on to win the R75 race at Avondale next up. So it really does tell us she is good and her breeding backs that up also. She has drawn out but she will get back anyway and if the inside is off, which it it can do here, she does look well placed to track into it and be too good for these. RP $3.20, $5.00 FF

Dangers:

12.Liquid Inspiration did well after being held up last start.

5.Simply Impeccable  ran a game second last start.

Race 7

Confidence: 3/5

5.Sweet Nineteen  ran second to Ritani with a gap to the rest. She is peeking nicely fourth up for this and for the reasons mentioned above, she looks very hard to beat here and 1400m looks ideal as well. She qualifies for the Pearl Bonus as well. RP $2.80

Dangers:

6.Yamuna  4th behind Sweet Nineteen and bred to be better as the distances get longer.

8.Robusto ran an improver’s third on debut.

Race 8

Confidence: 2/5

1.General Sherman ran on well last start stepping to 1600m for second to Verry Flash who ran second next start at Te Rapa. He did look as though he would be even better suited by 2000m or more though so hard to anchor in quaddies.

Dangers:

3.Stevie’s Surprise  has found the right race to break through. Game 4th last start sitting 3 wide in the open. Gets 3kgs off and just needs the right run to upset these.

2.Captain Risky  distant 3rd behind General Sherman last start. An improver.

14.Zatsaone bred to relish a heavy track and fighting second in her trial.
