Value bet of the Day Rosehill Race 6 4.Nurse Kitchen $7 FF Friday and with deductions and betting $4.60 FF now

Second Value bet Ruakaka Race 8 8.Wordofmouth $9.20 FF

Sneaky of the Day Awapuni Race 3 5.Pukeake Sam$6.50 FF Friday less deductions and betting

Race 6 4.25 p.m.

Confidence: 3/5

4.Nurse Kitchen has been given two good ‘Warm Up’ runs and is ready to strike now. She hit the line well fresh up and had no chance last start when stranded 3 wide in the open off an even tempo and was doing her best late. She is a very good mare and the step to 2000m is ideal for her. Jason Collett jumps back on and suits her. The money has come for her which is a good sign ( Opened $11 ) and she can snag back and with a track into it, she will be very hard to keep out. RP $3.60, $7.00 FF

Race 1

7.Rocket Fuel looked good winning his trial and has drawn to get all favours. RP $4.00, $3.90 FF

2.Fluorobus  closed off well on debut. Drawn 6 and may need luck form there.

Race 2

Confidence: 1/5

10.Judith  closed off strongly for second on debut and drawn to get all favours with Vinnie Colgan up. RP $5

1.Revered drawn to get a good run and be the main danger.

12.Alesund strong finish on debut after a slow start.

Race 3

Confidence: 2/5

7.Scarfi almost won here fresh up and should have improved with that. RP $$4, $3.70 FF

1.Showcoblu strong second on debut and 1400m looks ideal.

9.Dream On good run second up and fitter now.

Race 4

Confidence: 3/5

5.Zanyetta  was such a dominant winner last week and gets in here still on a winning weight. She is likely to snag back again and they tend to get round midrace if the tempo is slackened, so she just needs to be ridden patiently and she should win this. Baker/Forsman stable don’t back them up within a week unless they have come through it 100%. RP $2, $2.10 FF

1.Big Mike if left alone long enough, and the inside is ok, could be hard to run down, but he may have had enough as that was a tough win three back, a soft win after that and had his chance last start and showed little fight.

Race 5

The speed maps shows most of the field going out to look to be on the pace so an even tempo likely.

Confidence: 2/5 in an even race

4.Ambitious Winner  is relishing his racing and drawn to get all favours. Better track will suit also.

6.Greencast  will be ready to go fresh up.

8.The Kipling Girl drawn to lead or trail and from there is a chance.

Race 6

The speed maps shows:

Confidence: 2/5

2.Kitaya maps to get a good run on the pace and has been given a freshen up. He rates equally on top in the Formpro Ratings with the 4kgs off and looks hard to beat. RP $4.70, $7.50 FF

5.Dougie fitter after his good third fresh up and drawn ideally.

7.Rockabyebaby  if close to 100% has to be hard to beat.

Race 7

The speed maps shows: Billie who will set at least an even tempo and ensure every horse gets its chance. Hi Flyer maps to settle 7th or 8th.

Confidence: 1/5

2.Rocanto has won fresh up at both of his last two campaigns. Ran a nice trial recently caught 3 wide in the open and battled on well alongside New York Minute who bolted in last week. Drawn to get a nice sit about 2nd or 3rd, and with a 7.5kgs weight advantage over Hiflyer, can hold him out. RP $4.50 $7.50 FF

8.Rikki Tikki Tavi won fresh up at Ellerslie over 1200m and goes well here.

1.Hiflyer trialled well after dwelling and settling 5th 3w open on the heavy track and won very well. He did look in need of the run though. Fresh up off a good tempo with 61.5kgs makes it hard to back him at $2 though.

Race 8

Confidence: 2/5

8.Wordofmouth  is a nice horse and closed off in fast sectionals last start running the fastest last 400m 22.08 and fastest last 200m 11.11 all day. Freshened up and just needs a good run to be the one to beat. RP $5, $9.20 FF

5.Raposa Rapida  won well last start fresh up and is a nice horse.

11.Bellinsky  nice horse ready to go and should be on the pace.

12.Morweka from the Pike stable with a freshen up from a good draw, should get every chance.

Race 9

Confidence: 1/5

9.Owen Patrick won very well last start on the better surface. Fitter now and is right in it. RP $5

8.Ohceedee  won well two back and a bit unlucky last start. Wide draw may help.

5.Franklin  is a nice horse who won well last start. With a good run, should get his chance.

4.Felix Faure  won strongly here last start and with a soft lead, could pinch it.

Race 10

Confidence: 1/5

8.True Enough blinkers come off and fitter now third up and drawn to get a winning run from the Baker/Forsman stable. RP $6

2.Creative Genius has the best ever FR in this field  and if ready can do it.

11.I See Red  goes well on her home track and with a good beginning can be right in this.

9.The Macallan won well last start and freshened up from the Pike stable.

Sorry, I just can’t bring myself to tip anything out on the flat here on what is probably going to be a very, very heavy track.

Race 3

Confidence: 2/5

5.Pukeake Sam looked very good winning back to back hurdle races  on very heavy tracks. Last start he ran home nicely at Hastings on a Dead 6 track. He is peaking perfectly for this and looks well placed to take this out. RP $3.80, $6.50 FF

10.Max won easily over steeples last start. Back to hurdling which shouldn’t pose a problem and the heavy bog will suit.

2.Kipkeino will relish the bog and jumps well here.

11.Kiddo found the line strongly last week and will be fitter for this.

Race 5

Confidence: 1/5

6.Joking  has won twice here over steeples on heavy 11 tracks. He looked the winner in the Waikato steeples last year until he fell at the last. He has had three runs back now and will be fitter and will relish the very heavy track. RP $4.50, $7.50 FF

4.Thenamesbond has won his last 5 races over hurdles or steeples when he has been able to lead. He couldn’t do that at Trentham last week and battled for fourth. He will lead these and be harder to beat.

1.Wise Men Say back on a heavy 11 track will be better suited.

5.Tizza Secret good 3rd at Hastings and has won a steeples race here on a heavy 11 track.
