As always on Mondays, you can get access for free to the Palmerston North Greyhound ratings today. That includes the speed maps, replays, ratings plus much more. Dogs that either lead or are second at the first marker here, win 71% of races. So that fact alone can give an edge over most other punters with the speed map indicating the early speed dogs. Plus, if you use the filter to find the dogs with the best ratings, you can cut out the weak ones and stick with the faster ones.
Some Blackbookers from the last week are below:
The Helix in the third race at Ruakaka did well off a moderate tempo to get up for third. That was just his second career run and looks to have a future.
Jake The Muss was held up until 150 metres out in the fifth race at Ruakaka and once clear hit the line strongly for second. More ground will suit him next up.
Two Thirty in the ninth race at Ruakaka did very well to hold on for fourth after travelling three wide in the open in a race where the first three home came from the back.
Vittachi in the same race was held up when looking to have a bit to offer. He’s had four runs back and maybe 2000m or more will suit now.
Avastin in the seventh race at Wanganui ran a strong second at her first run over a middle distance. Lisa Allpress will no doubt look to keep the mount and go one better next up on her.
