Early Saturday preview posted

I’ve been able to do some early Saturday form and found three good confidence bets all well above my rated price here

Update 5 p.m.

I’m sorry subscribers, but after spending the last two hours going through the Counties form I just can’t select anything with any sort of confidence on a what will be anyone’s guess on how heavy the holding track will be. After doing the Rosehill and Flemington form on better surfaces, I just can’t get any enthusiasm to have a bet on tracks that you just know will have about 200m between first and last with a bias we know nothing about. I have been able to identify 5 good confidence bets of 3/5 or better at Riccarton, Rosehill and Flemington. And because many subscribers really liked the updates about two minutes before those races, with suggested bets, I’m re-introducing that as well.  That’s where I post an update on the selections page taking into account the market moves, track bias/pattern, and how the main chances look in their prelims. I may recommend no bet, or backing the horse confidently or backing it and saving on another. The day will start with 50 units and profits can be reinvested on the day, and 50 units is the maximum I will lose on the day on the Good Confidence bets.

Last Autumn we finished with a 99 unit profit before I pulled the on with the wet tracks coming up. Now we have the better horses appearing here and in Australia, it is a good time to get that going again. I’m really keen to attend the postponed Te Teko trials on Monday. The first seven heats are all open ones including the very smart filly Santa Catarina. I’ll be doing a review of those heats and any other notable runs later in the day.

Any selections for Friday will be posted by noon ( Update- no Friday selections ) . Apologies, no Heads Up today but we will be back in the flesh next Friday with a preview of the much awaited Foxbridge Plate.
