Waipukurau last 600m off the front showing tempo etc is here

There are some very open fields here today. Most have little race day form and/or are fresh up, so it makes it difficult to bet with any confidence. I’ve found two that look good chances here though and one in the first race that looks ready to fire fresh up at nice eachway odds.

The early preview of Saturday is here and will be updated by 1 p.m.

There is a nice eachway chance in the first race below

Race 1

Confidence: 2/5

9.Tokyo Lil ran an unlucky 3rd at $3.30 ran a very good second fresh up at Avondale after being checked midrace and coming back for second. She was treated for cuts to the leg after the race. Then she won second up over 1200m. She did look a bit weak then but after seeing her trial at Ruakaka, where she trailed Passing Shot and never saw daylight going strongly, she looks much stronger and she has drawn to get a good trip near the pace and be a nice eachway chance. RP $ $5.50, $8.20 FF
