No selections for Gore today on the heavy 10 track. I’ll be spending most of my day sorting out races where we can bet into with a good chance of making a profit. Yesterday’s bet at Randwick, saw Waruna sit 3 wide in the open and still win decisively. It was a fair start, doubling our money, to the Quality over Quantity approach. I self evaluated the preview with a 9/10. I had done some form on the Te Awamutu fields but with that Slow 8 reading, it just knocks your confidence when trying to have a decent bet, so I passed. I also had a suggested $100 bet on the race which some subscribers like to have as well. Just be warned though. I post the preview a few hours before the race so subscribers who can’t see the update just before the race can get on. But the update closer to the start may suggest for various reasons, no bet or even a different bet. For example, there may be a strong track bias against the main selection bringing the 2nd and 3rd rated runners into it at value prices. So please don’t abuse me too much when that happens, as it will happen.
Tauranga and Awapuni both have rain forecast, so I’ll probably be looking to Australia for the main bets, but I’ll post any early previews by 2 p.m. Friday. Taranaki on Friday, is a Slow 7 with rain forecast today, so unlikely to be anything there as well. But check in at 8.45 a.m. Friday just in case. Also, if you are on Twitter, I may tweet out to subscribers ( @formpro ) about some previews that have been posted. You can see those on the right side of the this Home page if you aren’t on Twitter.
Anyway, back to the study which I am really looking forward to, knowing that I won’t be wasting my time on races that strongly favour the bookies.
