Update- main quality bets posted plus a Te Rapa preview here
The early preview of the two main races at Riccarton is here. With around 15mm of rain forecast today, it will be a Dead to Slow track which makes it tough for some. I’ve got eight horses from my Sectional Specials stable to analyse today for Saturday from here and in Australia. The Quality over Quantity approach paid off last week with 3 from 4 winners. Don’t forget, the TAB and bookies want you to bet on every horse on every race as that is how they make money. But the advantage we have is that we can narrow it down to races where we are confident we can find the winner in one or two selections and make some money.
Just go back through your betting account for the last week and see where you spent your money. Was it on races where you had impulsive bets or races where you didn’t have all the information about the main chances? Sure, you may have had some collects on some of those, but if you have been punting for a while, you’ll will know that doesn’t work. Have two separate accounts where you bet seriously on well chosen bets, and another for your action bets. Lets say you have $100 to bet with for the day tomorrow. Put $75 in your serious bets account and $25 in your action account. At the end of the week, any net profits made go into your Bank account to build your betting bank, plus the $100 you were going to bet with next week is a nice bonus for your betting bank. If you lost some in both accounts, top them up from your $100 you were going to bet with next week and put the balance into your betting bank. If you lose the lot, put the $75 and $25 into both account. It is so important to build up a betting bank if you haven’t got one.
The Money Shot and I will be previewing the 2000 Guineas in Heads Up, a best sports bet and drawing out the $20 multi winner form last week. Plus you could win the same bet for next week.
