The Bendigo quaddie looks like it will be short with Jumbo Ozaki $1.40 chance coming off  a very impressive win on debut, so pass on that. So the Riccarton quaddie looks the one to go for.

Suggested Riccarton quaddies:

Race 5 $18 for 50% Missed

R5   3, 4
R6   1, 2, 3
R7   1, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12
R8   5

Saver for $9 and 25% Yes $506.40 return for the $27 outlay

R5   3, 4
R6   1, 2, 3
R7    1, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12
R8    1

Race 5 leg 1 – should be safe with 3 and 4 here.

3.Khimar War 2nd $1.70 qu $4.40  was a bit unlucky in the stronger 3yo race and rated strongly with an FR 99, 3 lengths clear of these after weight adjustments. Will get back and has to be a strong chance in the small field.

4.Clara 1st $4 fresh up began awkwardly, settled last, covered ground wide improving, and ran on well for third. She sweated up before the start and jus blew out. Drawn the inside  and if they go hard, she can win.

Race 6

1-2-3 should fight this out.

2.Czarista 1st $5  rates on top but is an 8yo mare who has won 3 from 51 so no anchor.

1.Respin is ready to peak and will find this easier.

3.King Kane  won well last start and is a big strong galloper who can back up.

Race 7

This is the leg we need to find a double figure winner if it does win.

Ones to include are:

10.Midsummer Magic has good enough North island ratings to say she can do it. $10 FF

1.Titanium Jack 1st $23  closed off strongly here beating many of these last start. Needs luck but can win with the right run.

12.Switch Pitcher  has shown enough up north to include here from the good draw. Ran on well late last start.

6.Devious, 7.Final Savings  and 8.Alonzo rate on top and have both come in on the FF betting so have to be in.

Race 8

5.Miss Curious rates clearly on top here ( by 8 lengths after weight adjustments!) the negative is she tends to get a bit keen and has drawn the inside so is likely to be keen in behind again. She was held up till too late start despite racing keenly last start so it may not be such a big negative. When she won over 1600m she settled well for Johnson. She maps to trail Baban on a moderate tempo, so looks the anchor. $4.40 into $3.30 FF

Saver on 1.Letsbringiton 1st $6.70 quad $2025   who did very well in Miss Curious’ race last start when almost falling 350m out but recovered very well to run second rating the best last start FR of this field. Should land 2nd outer on the moderate tempo and get every chance.
