Good morning,

It is one of those days where I just can’t select anything confidence, i.e. 3/5 or better. So maybe the quaddies are the way to go. Voler Pour Moi looks well placed in race but I rate her a $2.40 chance and she’s $2.50, so no value there. I’ll post an update by noon with any other bets and maybe an Ozzie suggested quaddie.

11.Eleanor Rigby 1st $4.70 fitter third up after two nice runs. Definitely needs 1600m now and Opie jumps on. Even tempo likely which will suit and early money came for her. RP $3.50, $3.40 FF

Dangers:

7.Krakadeel the obvious danger.

Race 2

Confidence: 1/5 in an open race:

In order: 3-5-4-9 1st $9.80

Race 3

4.First Rock 1st $8.80  did very well fresh 3 wide on the pace and taking a close 2nd. Needs a good ride.

1.Moeraki  obvious danger from the good draw and good third against better horses last start.

Race 4

6.Folk Dress 1st $4.70   unleashed strongly for 2nd last start and drawn to get all favours with Opie on.

1.Qiji Spirit nice looking 2yo who does look the main danger.

Race 5

Confidence: 2/5

6.Speedy Meady 1st $2.40 quaddie $552    on debut ran a top second in a good speed rating beating 5 subsequent winners. Then second start he ran a game second to Monaco in a faster time than the R65 race and Monaco has won twice since.  Cameron Lammas knows him well now and with the small field he should be able to get him into a winning position and looks hard to beat but even though it is a small field, he is no good thing. RP $2.40, $2.30 FF

3.Helena Baby looked good in his trials especially his last one about 11 months ago.

7.Sacred Quartz is going to win races and the small field will suit him.

Race 6

3.Update  looks set to go well on debut. Trailed in his last trial and drove through under a ride to win.Drawn well.

5.Classyas strong second on debut and ready to improve on that.

4.I’m a Dandy Dude ran a very good trial working to the lead and just going down.

7.Choctoc 1st $3.40  won her trial well and drawn ideally.

Race 7

5.Voleur Por Moi flew home here off a  moderate tempo to win decisively. She stays in the same grade ( and weaker field )  and still gets in on 55kgs, a winnable weight. Will get back and can win again. RP $2.40, $2.50 FF

Dangers:

6.Lady Painton 1st $6.10 did well off a tough run behind Voleur Poi Moir. With a better run likely, should be in it.

 

 

Race 8

4.Miss Scandinavia finished hard last start ridden colder. Fitter now and Opie will suit him.

10.Raspberry Sweet has been rating well enough to include here from the good draw.

3.The Chaser 1st $8.20 no room last start, can go forward and get a good run and be hard to beat.

6.Avaco Willow won well here showing a good will to win.

Race 9

5.Trip To Freedom  ran home strongly for third in a good speed rating. Will have been set for this and drawn well with right rider up.

1.Honfleur 2nd after strangely hitting the front well out when it is known it knocks off  ready to win now after two strong seconds. Side winkers go on. Wider draw against though.

8.If At First nice trial for 4th full of running and drawn to get all favours.

4.Away Cruising best bred runner on the day being out of Seachange. Peaking now.
