Otaki posted and steady start to the week

The preview of Otaki is here where I have previewed the late quaddie. The sectionals from Ruakaka can be seen here showing the tempos and highlighted runners that ran notable last 600m in solidly run races

A satisfactory start to the week yesterday with nice profits taken out of the two 3/5 confidence races with Dragon Storm and Memories Only both winning in the races where two win bets were recommended. The bonus was with the $540 quaddie with the $29 percentage bet returning $108. It just goes to show why you must assess your selections chances of winning with a rated price. Quiz Kid, rated $2.60 from the wide draw, got down to red figures which made him the lay of the day, not the bet of the day.  Mac Attacka was backable around his rated price of $3. below are the nine races from last week at the gallops that had a Good confidence rating of 3/5 or better. If you can stick to those races for your serious betting, then you are going to get regular collects instead of wasting it on lower confidence races chasing a good price. If you have trouble with that, open another TAB account – one for your serious bets and one for your action bets which can be used for much smaller bets but give you an interest. I have many accounts and each one has it’s purpose. Another idea that I have done successfully before is to bet with trusted mate where you both put in an equal amount each to star with and both decide on which races and bets you will bet on. That way you aren’t going to waste your mates money on those impulse bets. If you have any strategies that you have used to get control of your betting, let me know at [email protected] or text or ring on 027 352 6402

Last week  there were 9 x 3/5 confidence or better gallops races with 5 winners, 1 x 2nd, 1x 3rd and 2 misses ( Plus the Money shot’s best sports bet of the week from heads Up with the Hurricanes covering the -6.5 start at $1.90 )

Sanchez 3/5 1st $5 into $4.40

Helena Baby 3/5 1st $1.40 and was never in doubt

Cutting Up Rough missed after getting too far back but may have had enough.

Akasaki 3/5 1st $6.80 after opening at $12 and was still available at $9.50 late Friday

Libertini 5/5 confidence and and bolted in getting a soft sit 2nd outer

Wild Planet 3/5  1st $3, and won well

Into The Abyss 3/5 4th ( had its chance if good enough)

Gem Song 3/5 3rd ( Outsprinted )

Bullit $3.50 tote $4 Ff  place led until lack of race fitness over ground kicked in along with the weight difference – great effort though.
