Update: No further bets

Good  morning,

Two horses look well placed at Riccarton but are not Quality bets on the heavy track. The Quality bet is at the Greyhounds in race 8. I’ll post an update by noon.

Whanganui Greyhounds

Race 8 2.26 p.m.

Confidence: 4/5

8.Big Time Marlissa 1st $2.50  looks well placed from Box 8 where she is mapped to cross and lead and win. She has the fastest two opening sectionals and the fastest adjusted time of time 30.69 here in the last 90 days. The 7 dog tends to duck left at the start so she should get a clear run and then she can use her strong acceleration that she has  into the first turn to drive to the lead or second outer, and downgrading against a weak, out of form lot, she looks well placed from the Cole kennel to win. RP $1.70, $3.40 FF ( Value Staking plan says 6 units at $3.40 Ff ( 3.4 / 1.7 = 2 x 3 units = 6 units )

9.Rumours  has drawn the squeeze box and takes a few strides to get going so is in danger of getting squeezed out early.

1.Thrilling Stan closed off hard on Monday late over 410m but nearly always gets back and runs on. Place chance.

4.Bigtime Sandy can jump ok but hasn’t got that second phase speed once they all get into stride into the first bend.

It is going to be sticky and tough going here so tread carefully. I’ve sorted two out that look well placed but aren’t much value.

Race 2

Confidence: 2/5

2.Monza Circuito  1st $2.70 last start st on a good tempo and traveled strongly to the turn. She moved wider and kept up a strong gallop right through the line. Her time was easily the fastest of the four over the 1400m on the heavy track. She is up in class but drops to 52kgs and maps to get an ideal run on a moderate tempo and the 1600m suits as she has won strongly here over 1600m on a Slow track. RP $2.70, $3.00 Ff

Race 8

Confidence: 2/5

1.Laekeeper lost the pilot on the turn when the pilot said he was bolting.  ran a game second in this last year and is a very tough. On Saturday he was at the back but was travelling just as well as the winner, Guy Fox, well when he was taken out by a fallen horse in front of him. He hurdled very well and should be very hard to beat in this. RP $3.60, $4 FF
