I’ve been through the Matamata fields and can’t find anything to recommend with any confidence at value, excpt Divine Duke in race 8, on what will be a holding heavy track. Yes there are some nice horses on debut and second up but there is just no value in them. I’ve found two for Sydney but they are not Quality bets. Save your money for Saturday where we will have better track conditions and horses to do the form on.
1/Divine Duke strikes the right field at the right time. Being his home track and getting 4kgs off against an average midweek field, means he is well placed to win agaian. RP $2.60, $3.40 FF
1.Knowitall Jack was run down late here last start for third. This time he gets 3 kg off and maps to get an ideal run and be very hard to beat. RP $3.80, $4.50 Ff
2.Lifetime Quest last start Was able to lead all the way over this distance and won strongly. This looks slightly easier and despite being up and weight can lead or sit second outer, and with Hugh Bowman on will get every chance to win again. RP $2.60, $3 Ff
