5.Jacks Point Yes ran a strong second here two back beginning fast from box 4 but the 2 dog matched her for early speed and she sat outside that all the way. The third dog drew 8 and sat 3 wide outside her all the way and it won well next up. She raced on Tuesday at Forbury but drew box 8, began well but three others kicked up inside her and she was wide all the way- just no chance there doing that. So back here, where she maps to lead from box 5, with her fastest opening sectionals, the 4 and 6 dogs are slower away and shouldn’t bother her, so she can lead all the way against a weak maiden field. Arabian Gift Yes ran a very good third here fresh up and just blew out late. Then second up at Pukekohe got caught in the slow lane near the inner but fought well for fifth with good form out of it. That is much stronger form than Mamarella’s over 1300m where she led and tired over the 1300m.
