My Sunday night religion

Good morning,

A nice start to the week at Taupo with the value bet of the day, Manrico $5, and the only Quality bet, Cinzento $4, both winning well. And there were a few of you who took a bit off the bookies as well. The preview of Tauherenikau is here with one Quality bet at very good value.

One subscriber mentioned how he is much more disciplined now. That’s so important. If you can avoid the losing bets you would have had, in between the winners, you have every chance to make a good profit. For example, Blood Warrior yesterday, we know is a  very good horse, but he had a few negatives: first time left handed, no trials or jumpouts, and he raced greenly last campaign, so as I Tweeted out before the race, he was just simply no value at $2.10.  He ended up getting back but flashed late for second. He could have won with a better run, but he DIDN’T win so the layers cleaned up. And yes, there will be some winners among those horses you are trying to avoid, but you just don’t worry about those as you know long term, that you are going to make more money. Keep a diary of your bets and every week, see what you did well or need to improve on. That’s what I used to do religiously every Sunday night, and still do, but not as often.
