Friday preview below

Update 11.30 a.m. No further bets. The early preview of Saturday is here. Heads Up will be posted a bit later today by 8.30 p.m

Good morning. A Slow 7 track but may be upgraded to a Dead 6 by race time as there are blue skies and a breeze about. I’ll post an update by noon. No Quality bets so far.

Good luck,

Bet of the day Race 1 12.Mongolian Heaven $3 FF

Value bet of the day Race 8 3.Princess Rihanna $4.60 1st

Race 1

Confidence: 2/5

12.Mongolian Heaven last campaign ran a strong third to Kali who has gone on to very good form. Fresh up over 1400m he sat outside the leader and eventual winner, Peloton, and kept up a sustained gallop but just blew out late. He gets his head down nicely and gallops as though the step to 1600m is ideal now. Has done the rating to say he can at least win a maiden and should be near the pace and be the one to beat. RP $2.80, $3.00 FF

1.Sagunto has been racing in harder races at Hastings and been rating strongly. He drops back to an easier maiden so looks well placed. Drawn out but has the early speed to get on the pace and be in a good position. RP $4

6.Abu Dhabi has needed the blinkers and finally gets them. Good third last start and the harder they go, the better his chances.

5.Prestigious Lad  ran a game second here last start and drawn to get a good run.

Race 2

Confidence: 2/5

1.Heart Of Soul ran a game second last campaign when working to get 2nd outer, led one off, and was left in front well out, so did well to fight well for second. In his last trial he dropped out last and wasn’t asked for anything until after the post where he ran on full of running. Has had plenty of time to be fit for this and drawn well. RP $5.00, $9 FF

2.Hierarchy good third last start and fitter third up from the Richards stable. Drawn to get all favours.

12.Marroni  big run for third fresh up and with a good tempo up front, could swamp them.

4.Uncle Ern  handy run in a harder field fresh up. Quick improver.

Race 3

Confidence: 1/5

4.Touch The Clouds  gets 3kgs off and should get a good run. A better track could make the difference as well. RP $4.50

11.The Last Tsunami  is racing like she will enjoy the extra ground now and drawn to get a good run.

8.Alfred George  ran on well from off a moderate tempo last start. Will get back but if they go hard enough, can be right in this.

6.Eachway  won well over hurdles last start. May have sparked him up enough to do the same on the flat.

Race 4

Confidence: 2/5

1.Amusez Moi  has had two runs now and improved nicely to run second at Avondale last start. Tiley trained and will have the winning polish now and you know when he puts the blinkers on third up, he is set to win. RP $2.40, $2.70 FF

14.Whistling Cloud  won her last trial well leading all the way. Dead track will suit.

7.Imaready  two good runs and fitter now from a good draw.

4.Ginger Too  drawn to get a good run and looked good winning his trial after covering ground.

Race 5

8.Only In Jakarta 1st looked good in her trials. Her last was very good when showing good early speed, and kept up ma strong gallop to win well. Drawn to lead or be near it and can make a winning debut. RP $3.20

12.Lightning Field  looked good driving through late to win his trial. Nice galloper well drawn from the Richards stable.

9.You Wish  has looked good in her two trials running first and second. Has the early speed to get on the pace and strikes the right field to win on debut.

5.Atlanta Georgia closed off strongly from last at Te Teko and the second horse, Diamonds Galore, won well next up. negative is she will giving away good ground on the turn.

Race 6

Confidence: 1/5

3.Inconceivable  looked good winning his recent trial at Avondale, and did it wide on the pace. Drawn wide but has the speed and strength to make a winning debut from the Tiley stable. RP $4.50

7.Matter Of Fact has shown the ability to win at least a maiden. He is ready to fire fresh up.

8.Jakama Krystal ran some strong races last campaign and will be stronger now.

1.Marbuzet ran a game second here behind Hasabro and with a good run, can do it fresh up.

Race 7

Confidence: 1/5

5.Riodini 1st looked smart winning on debut drawing away and has been given time to strengthen up from the strong Tiley stable. Ready to win again. RP $2.50, $2.50 Ff

3.Maison Roxanne  ran a game second at New Plymouth last start and the winner, Tavi Mac, won again next up.

7.Lady Blue  has looked ready to win at the trials and has been scratched from heavy tracks. Drawn to get a winning run.

6.Good Luck Charm  looked good winning on debut and a heavy track caught 3 wide didn’t help last start. Drawn to be right in this.

Race 8

Early speed from at least 6 runners looking to lead or be near it.

Confidence: 2/5

3.Princess Rihanna 1st won an R75 race at Ellerslie over 1400m on a Good track beating Livin’ On a Prayer but was in December 2017. But she ran a good 4th here in June on an unsuitable heavy track and last start at Hastings drew out, snagged but was caught 8th 3 wide open off an even tempo but really found the line strongly running 11.22 and 33.76 for her last 200 and 600. The form out of it very strong and she drops in class for this. Freshened up and drawn to get an ideal run about 5th or 6th behind a solid tempo and from there, be very hard to keep out with the 2kgs off. If the track improves to a Dead 6 or better, her chances increase. RP $3.00, $5 FF

12.Meteoric Lass  drawn to be the main danger.

10.Savette  if they go too hard could swamp them

Race 9

Early speed from

Confidence: 1/5

8.Aileen Grace 1st  not suited by the slow tempo last start. Has won here and fitter now. If she can land three back inner, she could beat these. RP $6

10.Palamedes led all the way last start and held on well. Same grade and gets 2kgs off again. Could get an uncontested lead and be hard to run down again.

2.En Soie  no luck when caught wide fresh up. Drawn to get a good run.

9.Nasha Riva  goes well here and fit now.

4.Alberation  could upset fresh up. Nice trial leading and blowing out 100m out.
