We are in for a terrific day of racing with ten races at Trentham. The full preview is here.

The Sneaky of the day, which will be on Trackside radio this morning about 8.35 a.m. is in the Telegraph, Sensei detailed below.

The speed map shows a fast early pace with three runners drawn wide who will go forward and at least an even tempo from there, suiting all runners.

4.Sensei in this race last year sat 5 wide in the open which is usually the kiss of death, but over the last 100 metres dug in and ran third in the second fastest last 600m of the race. He won fresh up in the Pegasus over 1000m with an explosive burst of speed running his last 600m in 30.97 which I double checked and was correct. And he was easing down on the line. He needs a good track to show his best and gets that. He has drawn out and Sam, who gets him to settle well, has no choice but to jump and look for cover, even if it means dropping back to near last. There should be a decent tempo up front which should allow him to get over them in the last 100 metres. RP $4, $8 and $2.40 with four place divvies. Good eachway chance

Dangers:

7.Winter Bride is an Australian mare who ran a game second to Julius after being 3 wide in the open but they didn’t go hard, so had her chance if good enough. Drawn to get a good run this time.

1.Julius  is just a tough galloper who is very hard to get past. Won’t get it as easy as he did in the Railway this time though.

8.Avantage  ran a strong second last start and has been aimed at this. Negative is the draw as she is likely to forward and may get caught wide.
