We have had some luck with Bonus back bets in the last two days with Alemain Graeme $10 and Dawn jessie $7.50, so we may as well have a crack at the hat trick with Hail Damage in the first at Avondale.

Confidence: 2/5 $30 maximum FF bet with Money back for 2nd, 3rd and 4th on this race.

7.Hail Damage  looked good winning her trial here when she drew wide, showed good speed to lead and kept up a strong gallop to beat Dawned On Me who ran a good second on debut at Rotorua on Wednesday. With Sam Weatherley sticking with her from the trial, he is likely to try and hold the lead and get a soft midrace sectional. From there, with the blinkers on, they could kick and hold on. RP $3.50, $4.60 FF

Dangers:

1.Nitrate last start here showed nice speed to lead  but was a bit green round the turn and lay out. He fought hard for second though. The blinkers going on will help but he is likely to land outside Hail Damage and with Sam Weatherley on board, he is unlikely to give up that advantage and having a 3kg apprentice outside him, I give the advantage to him.
