Tuesday preview posted later

Good morning,

The preview of Ballina will be posted by 4 p.m. Now posted here as I will concentrate on the quaddies and that will give me a good chance to see how tracks are playing as well.

Yesterday, the bet of the day, Rylstone, looked well placed to win and was crunched in from $6.50 into around $3 over the last five minutes of betting. The trainer said he was very confident of a big run after backing him up after a strong second four days ago. After getting an ideal run second outer he just battled after they straightened up and ran fourth. Maybe he just didn’t back up or the weight of all that money going on him slowed him. The perils of heavy tracks!

I’ll be doing the form on the Australian fields today, with particular emphasis on the late quaddies. There’s an interesting story developing in Australia about punters being offered large amounts for cash outs on the Randwick quaddie before Rubisaki won. Their conditions will make it hard to keep it but it will be interesting what the TAB does about it.

Don’t forget to tune into the interview with Brendon McCullum on the Boys Get Paid Facebook page tonight around 6.30 p.m.
