3.Major Murphy looked good winning on debut and has a good wet track action. 1300m will suit better and he will be coming hard late. RP $2.60, $3.20 Ff

Favourite is Spokesman but the track is a heavy 8. His action is better suited to a better surface even though he won a recent trial here on one. More pressure early on raceday could find him being vulnerable late so pass on him.

With a Soft 5 at Sandown and an open Quaddie on the cards, I’ll spend some time going through those legs as that seems like it will be a decent return. I’ll post that by 2 p.m.
