Not a bad day with a nice $9 winner, bet of the day winning at $2.20 and the sneaky a certainty beaten at $31 and $7.50 dashing late for third. I need a break so will be back on Wednesday by 2 p.m. with a preview

The speed map shows 6 runners going forward all over the field so an even tempo likely suiting all runners. Turned out to be an even tempo at least
3.Away She Goes has run two good races after a break after getting back 3w in the open and closing off in good sectionals considering the run she got. Four starts back over 1400m she drew wide, got back and bolted in on a Soft track in 1.23.6 for the 1400m the best speed rating all day. She is fitter third up now and although she maps to be midfield maybe 3w with cover, there looks to be an even tempo which will allow her to track into it and be the one to beat. RP $5 1st after getting the pace up front she needed to win. Trackside commentator said it was 8 that had won but the horses saddlecloth number 3 was obscured by the jockey’s foot making it look like an 8! $9.60 and $3.50
5.Corazon De Oro won in the best speed rating all day last start. Fitter now. Has run 2nd here over 1300m in a good speed rating. With all favours on pace, will be the one Away She Goes has to run down.
1.Honey Suckle Choice all form is up to 1200m and giving weight to a couple of fit horses ready to win. Solid 2nd two back and went to fast up front last start. Has 2 wins from 15 starts so would need to jump and get a perfect run to win.
6.Inland Retreat was ridden out to win its last start maiden win in a slow speed rating with a good wet track action. So up in class on a dry track makes her no value at $4.60 and is a drifter. Was backed into $3.30 and got every chance- good lay at that price!
2.Kathaire last win was here over 1200m on Dec 24 over 1200m getting all favours in an average rating. Good 2nd ove 1200m three starts back but had all favours again. Drawn wide here and maps to be back and probably wide, so needs a lot of things to go her way.
The speed map shows My Solaki leading at a moderate tempo with La Sante getting all favours and Cyborg about 6th outer with a moderate tempo likely.
3.La Sante 4th after racing too keenly early ran a game third two back in the stronger Albury Guineas ( $80k ) after getting back, getting bumped wider on the turn and sustaining his run for third with race rival Demanding Mo winning it with a better run through them and meets him 2kgs better off this time. last time got caught leading but the 2nd inner horse held him out right to the turn which is the worst place to be, but he stuck well for ma close fourth. Trree starts back he won well here over 1000m.Drawn the inside this time and can get a nice trail here as he looks better with cover and be hard to beat. RP $3.20, $4.20 FF
4.Cyborg 1st $3.80 after getting a nice run through near the inner put in a big effort last start coming from near last from a wide drfaw to storem home in an abover average Speed Rating for the 1200m and looks like he will eat up 1400m now. Was green when he won fresh up but putting it altogether now and drawn to land in a handier spot.
5.River Charge 2nd and did very well- nice horse. looked good winning his maiden race last start getting all favours. Nice galloper and the two above have better form, but looks a progressive type. Drawn wide which makes it tougher.
1.Demanding Mo beat La Sante two back getting a better run and gives 2kgs up this time. Will be behind him as well so probably not going to turn the tables.
7.Freaky Freckles three starts back won in average SR ( Speed rating ) and just average with two 7th since then getting good runs. Drawn out so hard to see beating a few of these.
10.My Solaki last start over 1180m was 2nd outer on an even tempo and just held on in a below average speed rating and had 4kgs off with the apprentice claim. Maps to lead here over 1400m and gets a senior rider up which will also help. Gallops like 1400m will suit so if left alone, could hold on as that was only his 4th start.
The speed map shows Azaryah leading with many looking to tuck in behind. A Moderate to even tempo likely.
Confidence: 1/5 in an open race but River Of Gold is a decent upset chance.
15.River Of Gold 3rd $7.50 and would have won if he wasn’t held up – flashed for third. two starts back here over 2000m, was 3 back inner and beat race rival and favourite Azaryah easily. Then next start was caught wide early so was sent forward to lead over the 2400m but raced a bit keenly and tired from the turn. Back here over 1800m looks ideal from the inside draw where she can trail Azaryah where she looks best placed rather than leading. From there, with a moderate tempo likely, she will be in the right spot to upset these. RP $8, $18 Ff
5.Azaryah last start here over 2000m jumped well and set a moderate tempo and got a break on them turning in and won drawing away late beating race rival Animalia comfortably in a good speed rating on the Soft track and meets Animalia 2kgs better off. Won back to back races here over 1800m in November /December leading all the way. Relishes leading and gets 2kgs off here, so looks hard to run down.
9.Lolita Gold maps to hunt out and likely trail Azaryah and if she can repeat that rating three starts back. No favours in the straight last start and never clear the start before that.
7.Yousay Bolt brings strong form into this against better horses. Drawn wide but gets back anyway, so needs the tempo to be better than expected and the inside to be off, which it can do here. If he can get those and a good track into, he will be finishing the quickest.
4.Balansa has been racing well enough in decent fields and drawn to get a nice trip close enough to the leader.
2.Animalia ran 2nd to Azaryah last start and meets him 2kgs worse off here. Is a bit one paced so if they go harder than expected, that will suit it.
9.Miss Scorcher ideal run and too strong late $2 .20 beat Subpoenaed over 1200m at Canterbury last August after working hard to lead then trail and then led again to just hold on in 1.09.4. Subpoenaed almost beat the smart Rubisaki yesterday. She has been racing in stronger fields this campaign and from the draw should be able to get out quickly and find the fence, which she likes to be against, and as long as the iniside is not off, she will be hard to beat. RP$2.00, $2.15 FF
12.Real Key does look the only realistic danger as she has won twice here and gets in on a nice weight to get the last go at Miss Scorcher.
