Update: 4.10 p.m.
It looks like the Sandown and Warwick farm quaddies won’t pay a lot so pass on those.
Update 12.20 p.m. ( next update by 4.30 p.m. for the Sandown Quaddie. )
No Quality bets but the four below look well placed there is not a lot of value in them.
6.Dis Dah Wun looked good on debut when she drew wide, began fast but was caught wide as they kicked up underneath, then she used gas to lead, and was swamped late in a good speed rating. The form out of that has been very good too. She trialed after that and won with a gear or three to go through. Drawn to lead or be second outer and with Frosty Rocks having to work to get across from a wide draw, she does have the advantage so is going to be hard to run down over the 1100m. RP $1.90. $2.10 FF Can be backed for up to $30 on the NZ TAB and money back in Bonus bets if she runs 2nd, 3rd or 4th.
3.Maggie Miss ran a top race fresh up drawing wide, pinging out but was caught wide on the pace but in the better ground, led after turning in, but was run down late by a strongly backed swooper. That was on a heavy track. She is much better suited to a better surface and the way she pings the gates means she can cross the inside two easily and I can’t see anything wanting to take her on, so she get her own way in front and the way she wants to win, makes her very hard to run down. She has trained on the right way according to Gai Waterhouse here. RP $2.10, $2.40 FF
3.Harpo Marx in both of his runs in Oz he has found the line the best of anything and was strong past the line. That was over 1800m and 1900. Last start his last 200m was 11.81 which compared well with shorter races on the day. He has won over 2515m in Europe and being by Galileo, he is going to eat up the 2400m. Third up here and ready to win. Drawn to get back on the inner, but with an even tempo likely, he just needs a few milligrams of luck, and he should mow these down. RP $2.20, $2.40 FF
8.Bold And Wild 1st $4 last campaign got into my Black Booked runners because of the tremendous acceleration he showed in his two wins, especially in his last won at Hawkesbury where he was held up till about 200m out, angled to the outside and did only what good horses can do and charged by them. After a spell he resumed with an impressive trial win and in his last one he jumped first, led, eased 4th inner, and once out and balanced strode home better than third horse Archemedus, who was heavily backed to win next up last Saturday behind Amangiri and ran a game 4th after leading. He looks good and he is ready and to fire fresh up from a good draw, where he maps to get a good run about 5th or 6th behind an even pace. and pounce on these in the last 100 metres. RP $3.50, $4 FF
