Race 1 1.55 p.m.

Confidence: 4/5 Quality bet 4.2 units at $2.10 FF

2.Winning Weather won well two starts but it was her last start where she settled 4th outer in a fast run race and closed off strongly with a good action to almost win in a faster time than the R82 race earlier and her last 200m was faster than any of those. So the step to 1200m is ideal and she has the early pace to slide over into a good position and she does look too good for these. RP $1.50, $2.10 FF

I’ve spent a bit of time going through the Ozzie form and it is going to be a tough day for punters. Rosehill will be a tricky track to have a decent go on with the heavy track. The Valley is always a tricky track to punt seriously on and market movers are worth noting there. Eagle Farm has some nice horses going round and there are a few I like there but don’t want to post them until scratchings are known by 11 a.m. tomorrow. The next Update will be by 1 p.m. Saturday. We have $6539 in the Quaddie syndicate to spend over the next three weeks,

The  GOAT’s Best sports bet this weekend is tonight at 8 p.m. The Warriors with 6.5 start at $1.90 yes easily with a big bounce

and Geelong H2H at $1.61 to beat Hawthorn in the AFL   9.50 p.m. tonight

Race 5

Confidence: 2/5

11.Savacool last start here got well back  over 2000m but really unleashed over the last 100m to grab second behind Le Juge who raced a bit keenly. The step to 2400m looks ideal now and on the minimum of 53kgs, Mark Du Plessis can settle her midfield or wherever she is relaxed and being right at her peak from the Waller stable now, she can get over these late. RP $4, $5 FF

Race 6

Confidence: 1/5

1.Brave Song  closed off very strongly last start. Should land closer this time and won at this meeting last year. Trialed well and the one to beat. RP $4.80, $4.80

Dangers:

3.Bandipur  hasn’t had much luck and is an upsetter if he gets better luck this time.

5.Chapter and Verse   3 from 5 second up and drawn well.

2.Scallopini  just won here fresh up and drawn wide here up in weight, so no value at $3.60 Ff

Race 7

Confidence: 3/5 Quality Bet 2.8 units at $4.20 FF

4.Celestial Falls has run two very good races and was run down late by race rival Vanna Girl last start. But she is third up and fitter peaking for the right race. 1800m from an inside draw means she will get a good run on a moderate tempo and should have a winning advantage over favourite, Vanna Girl. and is good value in the right race. RP 3.00, $4.20 FF

Dangers:

2.Vanna Girl  beat Celestial Falls last start but will get back off a moderate tempo and with Celestial Falls peaking now she will find it harder to run her down.

9.Sky Horse ran home ok against the boys last and will get back on the inner , making it hard to run down Celestial Falls.

Race 8

Confidence: 2/5 4 0r 3 should take this out.

4.Nicanova  backs up after a strong third in the Stradbroke and backs up well. Needs a bit of luck from the wide draw but wide draws couold be a plus by this time of day. RP $4

Dangers:

3.Military Zone  is a good horse ready to win.Drawn ideally.

Race 9

Confidence:1/5 in an open race

2.Irithea  looks hard to beat if the inside is ok. Tough win last start.

1.Winter Bride  just needs a good ride from the wide draw. This is easier for her.

3.Outback Barbie  good run last start and this is easier.

5.Baccarat Baby is tough and the wide draw could be a plus. Ready to win.

12.Into The Abyss is in the right race now and peaking.

15.Krone peaking third up from a good stable.

10.Shalwa  is a good galloper who loves to win.

16.Jen Rules  from top stable and if inside is ok, could sneak it.

The Valley

Race 6 First leg of the quaddie

6.It’s a Kinda Magic  is a quick improver off a heavy track run. If near her best should be very hard.

9.Felicia  has to be in from a good draw peaking fourth up.

11.Paul’s Regret peaking now- tough run last start and did ok.

2.Selica  with a fresh up from a good draw, should be right in this.

8.St Edwards Crown  fourth up and going well enough to include if swoopers are winning.

14.Power Boom  drawn to get every chance and if inside is any advantage, could do it.

Race 7 The four below should fight this out.

4.Shot Of Irish will lead these a  merry chase and if inside is any advantage, will be hard to beat as there looks to be no pressure for him in front.

1.Reykjavik  beat Irish easily last start but his big stride makes it harder so needs a well timed run.

2.Plein Ceil is a nice horse and fitter after a good third fresh up.

9.Biometric  no luck fresh up and Craig Williams wants to win this race.

Race 8 2,6, 9 and 12 look the best two horses and with the right runs one of them should win.

2.Django Freeman  very good run fresh up and if he can avoid being held up should win.

9.Harbour Views  peaking third up. Will get back and need a decent tempo which it should get.

6.Hang Man  no chance wide last start and drawn to not be wide this time.

12.Tavirun  will lead and id the inside is ok, can win.

Race 9

Confidence:1/5 this is the upset leg as the two favourites will get back which is exactly where you don’t want to be on this track. Field job for the syndicate.

8.Broadwayfourth  was a very impressive winner last start, and is best ridden cold.  The query is the tempo though. If they go anywhere near the side of less than an even pace, she can’t win unless the inside is quicksand. How the track is playing will influence her chances.

Dangers:

2.La Tigeresa will get back but if it gets the gaps, can win.

10.Be My Star drawn to get every chance.

15.See Me Exceed  has the ability to win if fit enough from a good draw.

1.Kabini fit and gets 2kgs off from a good draw.

Race 4

Confidence;2/5

2.Yulong Prince has been looking for 2400m and gets it now. From the strong Waller stable and will get an ideal run so hard to beat. RP $3.40, $4.20 FF
