Race 1

Confidence: 1/5 in an open race

11.Hail Damage  fresh up ran a very good second in a good speed rating. Has had time to recover from that and gets 3kgs from Wiremu Pinn. With a good run she can win this. RP $5, $7 FF

2.War Command solid third last start. Fitter and gets 3kgs off. Should lead and be the one to run down.

13.Optimum Street  ran a very good third fresh up here and battled left handed second up. Back right handed could upset.

Race 2

9.She’s A Lady  won with authority at Whanganui and is a bigger and stronger mare now. Up in class but drawn to either lead or trail here and with Lisa Allpress making the trip to stay with her, she will be doing everything she can do to get her home again. RP $5, $7 FF

2.Edit has looked good in all of his runs. Drawn to get all favours but this is his biggest test against fit, in form horses.

3.Super Pursuit  is likely to get back and rely on a decent tempo which may not happen. He took a while to wind up last start too.

5.Pluton  drew wide last start here and had no chance when caught 3 wide in the open.

Race 3

Confidence: 2/5

3.Flavius two starts back did very well when he drew wide, worked to lead 800m out but the horse on his inner kicked up and held him out. he did very well to hold on for third in a strong form race. Then next up here he began well but was caught handy 3 wide in the open and faded out. The rider said he would also appreciate an easing of the track. He gets a Dead 6 this time and Opie Bosson jumps on from the good draw. He maps to lead or trail these and get every chance for a change. Big horse who will be at peak fitness for this. RP $7, $9.50

2.Screamin Eagle   has shown good form in stronger fields. The track may have been a bit too wet for him last start according to the trainer, and it is likely to be close to the same here, so that is the query with him.

7.Bankers Choice was confidently backed to win on debut but things didn’t go his way. Good trials form and Danielle will keen to make amends.

13.Oh To Be  shown enough to get a good run here and be an upset chance.

Race 4

9.Super Strike  showed how good he was last start even though he got beaten. He ran home in quicker sectionals ( with 60kgs) , than the WFA mares race and his race was run at a faster tempo over the same distance. That doesn’t happen very often and it truly indicates a very good horse. He has only had six starts and the start before he was a dominant winner here over 1400m. The negative is he maps to be last ( 9th ) inner but with an even tempo likely and only 8 runners in front of him, the gaps should open in time to round these up in the last 50 metres and he will feel that 6kg drop to 54kgs. RP $1.70, $2.00 FF

Race 5

3.All Paid Up almost won fresh up over 1200m. Then second up, drew wide at Pukekohe and worked to get about 6th outer, but was held in a pocket till getting out 150m out then was held up again. He looked to have plenty to offer as well. Opie jumps on and from the good draw, he maps to land in the first four and third up, he does look a nice eachway chance. RP $4, $5 FF

4.Mouton  did well off a tough run last start. Drawn to get all favours this time.

5.My World  has been running strong placings in good R65 fields in good times. Just needs a good run from an awkward draw.

Race 6
The speed map shows plenty of speed in this.

Confidence: 1/5 in an open race

6.Hakuna Matata  put up a big run win last start over 1560m at Rotorua. After being 3 wide in the open on an even tempo, just kept finding to drive late and win and was still going strongly after the line. Before that he stumbled out at Tauranga and had to sprint hard to lead and only tired in the last 150m. Drawn to get a cosy run off the pace and with 3kgs off and looking like she has strengthened up now, she could come with the last run at these. RP $8, $15 and $3.90 Ff

2.Super Gee  is looking for more ground now and should settle off a fast tempo and get his chance with Opie up.

9.Aspiring  should get a good run with Danielle up, looks like more ground will suit.

11.Darcee Que  peaking now and drawn to get all favours with Lisa Allpress up.
