Wednesday selections posted

Good morning,

The selections for Pukekohe are here and an update will be posted by 1.15 p.m. with any head to heads or other bets.

The Weekly review of last week can be seen here

It does look a day for favoured runners and the first race may be the first of them to win.

And with the TAB running a nice promotion ‘Place a Fixed Odds Win bet on Races 1 – 5 at Pukekohe today and get paid out as a winner (up to $100 as a Bonus Bet) if your horse runs second’ you can get some added insurance.

Race 1

9.Optimum Sweet  has run two strong placings right handed and fizzed left handed. She relaxes well and is out of a Japanese mare who are usually very good stayers. So from the good draw, Ashvin should be able to land close to the pace with her early speed and be in a winning position. RP $2.50, $2.50 FF

11.Knock On Wood  was unlucky two starts back at Avondale when held up and never clear and was going well. Nice run in a fast run race next up.

2.Oak  looks like he will appreciate the 2100m the way he gallops and relaxes.

10.Styal  has been finding the line well in all of his runs so 2100m should be ideal now.
