Wednesday 31 March preview below

With heavy rain forecast it will be a heavy track so I’ve focused on finding the best wet track actions along with the best breeding for it.

I’ll post an update by 11.15 with any head to heads or other bets.

The review of last week can be seen here

Bet of the day Race 8 1.Sailor Jerry $2.20 FF

Value Bet of the Day Race 7 5.Landgrave $5.50 FF

Suggested late quaddie for 20%

R5   1611
R6   4567
R7   589
R8   16

Race 1

6.Let’s Sea His trial win was a convincing one beating the smart Prince Of Tallin who won on debut. On debut he got back and once clear ran on well in the best last 800 and 600. He has an ideal action for a wet track so looks a quick improver on that debut run. RP $3.80, $4.80 FF

Race 2

4.Funny Girl looked good leading all the way in her trial with an ideal wet track action. The favourite has a query on a heavy track. RP $5, $7 FF

Race 3

9.Lady Performer  looked good coming from 6th 3 wide cover on a wet track at Rotorua to power by with an ideal wet track action and has the breeding to handle it as well.

Race 4

Confidence: 2/5

4.Nozi Cyclone last start drew wide and was back on jumping but showed good speed to burn to the lead in a fast 23.89. So he did well to hold on for third in the fastest run of the 1200m races. He was run down late on a heavy track on debut. Opie jumps on and he will give him every chance. RP $2.50, $2.60 FF

Race 5

1.Weowna Tiger ran a close second here last start and his action sys a heavy track should be ok.

6.The Mighty Spar  has run on well in both starts and bred to handle a wet track. Opie sticks with him.

11.Illusion Of Paris good second on a Dead 6 track. Not sure about a heavy track with her action though.

Race 6

4.Corinne placed on a heavy track last campaign over 1600m with an ideal action for a heavy track. Dtrawn out but that could be a plus by this time of day.

6.Bendertmerry on debut ran a close second on a heavy track right handed. She looks better left handed and beat home race rival Side Pursuit last start. Drawn well and very fit and blinkers go on now.

5.Side Hustle looked good on debut and was a bit flat second up. Wet track may be ok.

7.Fonteyn  was a bit stiff when held up last start. Good wet track action.

Race 7

5.Landgrave won his two races on slow and good tracks but has the ideal action for a heavy track. After a good spell he was hard ridden for 4th  in his first trial then in his second trial over 1550m trailed and didn’t get a clear go when he had a lot to offer with Opie up. he sticks with him and on a heavy track, he could easily bury these over 1600m and the small field helps. RP $4,20, $5.50 FF

8.Soda has won here on a heavy track and his last three wins were here.  Blinkers go on and fitter third up.

9.Easy M’ Lady  doesn’t mind a wet track and gets in on a good weight.

3.Melarita  has won four races , two on slow track and has a good action for a wet track.

Race 8

1.Sailor Jerry  has handled a heavy track in the past with ease. He was a bit stiff last start when held up and charged late for second over 1600. Steps to 2000m for the first time which will suit now. RP $2.20, $2.20 FF

6.Wilewink last start at Trentham was winding up strongly when he was stopped in his tracks. Then once he got going it was all over but he ended up in front soon after the post. Very fit and actions says a heavy track should be ok.
