Saturday 26 June preview below

Punters Club updates:

With the inside being the place to be all day, Butterfield in the last is a nice eachway chance at good odds. Good horse who should lead or trail with weight relief.

We have $3100 win on Supreme Heights at $2.70 FF to return $8370 which will make a $30 payout. Not that keen on Bankers Choice now with the inside running so well

The GOAT’s best sports bet is on Saturday 3.45 p.m. AFL North Melbourne $1.71 Head to Head at $1.71 ( 3 units) Yes

Ryan L, who won the $20 Heads Up multi has Supreme Heights $2.70  with North Melbourne at $1.71 to return $92

Race 1

Confidence: 3/5

1.Butler  ran a strong second to Oseleta last start after covering a lot more ground. He steps to 1300m here and should get a better run than Oseleta and being at his peak now third up, looks very hard to beat. RP $2.70, $3.10 FF

Race 2

Confidence: 2/5

6.Floral Art  we know handles a very heavy track as well as any as she showed last start second up at Trentham. Up in class but but nicely weighted to be the one to beat. RP $4, $4.80 FF

Race 3

The speed map shows plenty of speed across the field and could set up for a closer.

1.Aero De Paris  came home hard late fresh up at Ellerslie and handles a very heavy track well. Drawn to get the right run around midfield with plenty of pace on and get his chance to get over these. RP $3.80, $4.20 FF

12.Angelica  handled the heavy track well at Ellerslie and gets in on a light weight. If inside is ok, is an upset chance.

2.Air Centre  did very well to hold out Aero De Paris fresh up then found 1400m off a tough run too much last start. Back to 1200m from the inside draw with 2kgs off makes him well placed. Has won on a 1.14 track.

Race 4

10.Lot Of Zees is a tough mare who has an ideal action for a very heavy track. Kept closing strongly last start when a close third at Te Rapa alongside race rival Judy’s Songs. Nicely weighted and a good eachway chance. RP $6 $10 FF

6.Cork looked good last start running home very stylishly and strongly with an ideal action for a heavy track. If inside is still ok, is the main danger.

Race 5

The speed map shows four runners going forward with Cassio likely to set a decent tempo again.

5.Twin Spinner  is a horse you know will handle a deep track as good as any. His action is ideal for it. Last start at Ellerslie he was giving 4.5 and 6kgs to the first two home and fought hard right to the line. The rider upgrade to Lisa Allpress is a key one and with him dropping to 55 kgs, he looks a solid eachway chance at the odds. RP $5, $8 FF

4.Divine Duke has bolted in here on a heavy track and won well fresh up. Gets in on a dangerous weight. Drawn the inside which may be a plus or minus by this time of day.

9.Junior – his last two wins have been here on heavy 11 tracks and is peaking nicely for this on a winning weight.

2.Mont Ventoux handles a very heavy track well.

Race 6

Confidence: 2/5

9.Magdala  was ridden off the pace last start and bolted in. She will be ridden the same way here and with the centre or wider in the straight being the place to be, she is still weighted to get over these. She still rates on top after weight adjustments in the Formpro Ratings. RP $4, $5FF

1.Thunder was a bit stiff last start and has won on a very heavy track. gets 3kgs off.

Race 7

The speed map shows Pop Star Princess leading with Supreme Heights dropping in for a nice trail or 2nd outer. A moderate tempo likely but how the track is playing will be a strong influence.

Confidence: 3/5

2.Supreme Heights  does look well placed here at WFA. She fought hard for second to Pop Star Princess at Rotorua at WFA fresh up then won very well at Whanganui over 1600m. She is very fit  and drawn to get all favours trailing or second outer. RP $2.50, $2.70 FF

1.Pop Star Princess maps to get a softish lead and if the inside is ok, as she is best staying up against the rail, she will be the one to run down alright.

4.Cherry Lane  is in career best form after beating Masetto last start who bolted in next up.

Race 8

The speed map shows plenty of speed and is likely to suit back runners getting wider.

Confidence: 3/5 if the swoopers are winning.

4.Banker’s Choice  deserved that win after some unlucky runs. Showed a rare turn of foot last start to get up and from the wide draw, will get back but if the swoopers are winning, that will just give him the ideal pattern to bury these late. RP $2.20, $2.70 FF

1.Butterfield  if the inside is ok, he does have the ability to lead or trail and be an upset chance.

9.Bella Dora  was a strong maiden winner on a heavy track and with the 3kgs off, should be in it.

Race 4

Confidence: 2/5

5.Dunhill has been racing really well further south and comes to the big smoke this time but he is certainly up to the task. The heavy track suits and he still in on a winning weight. RP $4, $4.60 FF

Eagle Farm

Race 8

Confidence: 2/5

16.Odeum put in a huge run last start when caught 4 wide in the open midfield off a modearte tempo. James McDonald then asked her to move and she led 100m out but was run down by the smart sprinter Brooklyn Hustle over the the 1300m. She has drawn wide here so we are banking on James improving on a a 4 wide in the open run! So even 3 wide with cover in a faster run race should see her get her chance to beat these. RP $4.50, $6 FF

Race 8

Confidence: 3/5

1.Matterhorn looked very good winning at Tauranga and was then sent to Australia where he drove hard late to win really well. This is not a great line up so from the good draw, he should land midfield or better and just needs to get clear in time to bury these. RP $1.80, $1.85FF
