Te Rapa

Race 1

Confidence: 2/5

14.Outfit 1st $2.50

After receiving a nice run last start, she got a bit of a bump before balancing up, but when she did get set she really found the line strongly in the best sectionals in all categories. Up to 1600m now should see her nail her first win. Drawn to get all favours. RP $3.00, $3.30 FF.

Race 2

Confidence: 2/5

8.Pin Me Up  1st $2.90

That makes it two strong seconds in a row for this well bred 3yo filly. The winner got all favours near the front while she did plenty of extra work to get home in the best closing sectionals. She will be well placed to win third up. RP $2.70, $3.30 FF

Race 5

Confidence:2/5

1.James Barrie

Last start here it was his third run back and he almost won at his first attempt over ground this campaign. His closing sectionals were excellent and he looks very hard to keep out from the good draw and 2kgs off. RP $3, $3.80 Ff

Race 8

Confidence: 2/5

7.Bankers Choice 1st $18

The way he worked home late down the outside in the best last 200 metres of 11.82, despite being tenth, shows this very promising 4yo can easily bounce back to winning form very quickly. He’s going to have a very good campaign. RP $7, $12 FF

Awapuni

Race 1

Confidence: 2/5

4.Cheveux  looked ready to debut on a winning note when pinging the gates to lead in her recent trial, leading easily and was just too fast in the heavy ground with an ideal action for a heavy track. Out of 7 win mare L’Amour who was very good. RP $2.50, $2.90 FF

Race 6

Confidence: 3/5

2.Justaskme has won four of his last five starts over 1400m and the miss was on a track too good for him. He was a dominant winner last start at Tauranga at WFA and looks set to snag back here and with an even tempo likely in the small field, should be too good for these on a heavy track. RP $1.80, $2.50 FF

Race 7

Confidence: 3/5

2.Cherry Lane  bolted in last start after being a strong chance when the rain turned the track into a slogfest. She relishes the very heavy tracks and with a nice weight advantage over main danger, House Of Cartier, she can go back to back. RP $3.40, $5.50 in from $7.50 FF with no scratchings.
