Saturday 19 March preview below

Another good day for the week with the $k Flemington quaddie struck and the multi in Australia ( Last leg winner Don’telltheboss $38 was put in because of her strong win here back in June and ran an improver’s race fresh up) . Sinarahma got out to very good money at $5. Slipper Island won really well as did Imperatriz. Le Villi seemed to have her chance.

Update 11.22 a.m.

Zaaki looks a class above his rival at Flemington. Fully fit now and well of at WFA. He is a real racehorse.

Best bet in Australia Flemington Race 6 2.Zaaki $2.50 FF 1st $2.60

Best Multi in Australia Rosehill Race 2 4.Mazu $1.70 and Flemington Race 6 2.Zaaki $2.50 FF $10 returns $42.50 Yes  but once again, if your multi is $50 or less, back Mazu to win outright as you get your $50 back in Bonus bets you can put on Zaaki if he runs 2nd, 3rd or 4th.

Suggested quaddie at Flemington for $39.60 for 10% Yes $4060

Good morning.

Some very good and even fields at Trentham today on an ideal track hopefully. Races 2.3.4 at Trentham look tough. I’ll post an update by noon with Australian bets After scratching and track conditions are finalised and  where the Flemington Quaddie looks worth a go.

Bet of the Day Trentham Race 1 4.Slipper Island $2.40 ( Up to $50 back in Bonus bets on the first four races at Trentham if runs 2nd, 3rd or 4th. )

Suggested multi with Trentham Race 1 4.Slipper Island $2.40 Race race 8 9.Le Villi Top 3 at $2.20 FF $10 returns $52.80 If taking $50 or less multi, place the win bet on Slipper Island only first so if he finishes 2nd, 3rd or 4th, you get your money back in Bonus bets that you can put on Le Villi for a place.

Value bet of the day Trentham Race 8 9.Le Villi $6 Ff and $2.20 Ff

Suggested Trentham Quaddie for $39.20 for 10% ( $19.60 for 5% )

Trentham

Race 1

Confidence:3/5

4.Slipper Island  1st $2 ran a strong second on debut at Ellerslie when he was run down late Lickety Split ( with a gap to third in the second best speed rating all day )  who won the big race last week, so strong form. Drawn to land on the pace and looks very hard to beat. RP $2.20, $2.50 FF

Race 5

Confidence:3/5

3.Sinarahma 1st $5   was an impressive winner at Hastings off a decent tempo. Then she ran a solid seventh in the Group 1 race at Otaki against a stronger field. Back to a mares race with a decent tempo likely again, Lisa Allpress will give her every chance to get over these in the last 100 metres. RP $3.40, $4.20 FF

Race 6 1st leg of the $100k guaranteed quaddie

Confidence: 3/5

8.Imperatriz 1st $2 was a strong closing second to Sword Of State at Ellerslie which is very strong form now. Then she bolted in at Matamata over 1400m in an excellent speed rating. She gives every impression 1600m will suit just as well as indicated in the 1000 Guineas when a slow start cost her but she charged home in the best closing sectionals. Drawn to get every chance and despite being a smart field, she can beat these. Rates 4L clear of these in the Formpro Ratings. RP $2.00, $2.40 FF

Danger:

1.On The Bubbles  dug deep and very well to win last start in good time. 1600m looks ideal now and drawn to get the last go at Imperatriz.

Race 7

The speed map shows plenty of speed.

Confidence:2/5

11.Malt Time  was travelling well last start and motored home in the best sectionals in all categories for second. With good speed up front very likely, he just needs a little luck from that inside draw to weave his way through them and get over these late. RP $5, $8.50 FF

Dangers:

2.Cavallo Veloce goes great here and should get the race run to suit as well.

3.Rose ‘N’ Power if she can ping out and find the rail early and not get taken on too much, could hold on.

7.Can I Get An Amen 1st $4  ran a game 4th in the Telegraph off a tough run. Top form for this with Levante going so well in Australia.

Race 8

The speed map shows Self Obsession leading with a few likely to want to get on the pace or near it so an even tempo likely.

Confidence:2/5

9.Le Villi looked good winning her two races against the older horses. But it was her strong run for fifth at Ellerslie over 2000m when she eased back to last, relaxed perfectly and when asked to go by Lisa Allpress, sustained a strong finish hitting the line the best of anything. She is bred to see out 2400m and her galloping action and style suggests she will too. She also looks better left handed. From the draw, should land behind midfield and Lia will be able to pick her time when to move on her depending on how the race has panned out for the first 1600 metres. RP $5, $7.50 FF

Dangers:

1.Self Obsession  looks the obvious one and should lead or be right on it. Negative is she has had some hard racing, it is the ‘Punters Graveyard’ she is racing at,  but is rock hard fit.

4.Bellatrix Black is peaking perfectly after a top win last start. She could just be very good.

11.Aspen Colorado  is a big filly and looks an Oaks type. Could upset if they go hard.

Race 9

Confidence:2/5

8.The Seagull was going to win a long way out last start and was confidently backed. This is harder but he has ran a  close 4th here in an R74 race over 2200m three starts back.

3.The Fearless One 1st $3  has been knocking and just needs the right run to win with topweight and a tricky draw.

10.Jane’O rates on top after scratchings. Back in class and could be the upsetter with a perfect ride.
