Wednesday 13 April preview below

Ruakaka

With rain about this morning it may get to a soft track but if your runner needs one, I’d wait and see.

With the new Starting Price ( SP) option available now it just gives you another option to consider. If you feel the price will almost certainly, drift then use it. If you feel it will definitely shorten, then take the current price on offer. But if you aren’t sure, maybe halve your bet and take both options e.g. instead of $20 win at the current price of $3, but you think it may drift, put $10 on at the current price of $3 and $10 at the SP price. You can find the SP betting option after you click on the selection and on the right hand side of the blue bet slip, you can see the @ sign, so click on the down arrow, and it will have the choice of the current price or SP price.

I’ll post an update before Race 1 if I can see any Head to Head or other bets after seeing how the track is playing in the first race.

Race 1

Confidence:2/5

5.Miss Interpret two starts back ran a strong 2nd in a handy field on a wet track. Then last start unwound late for 6th on a Good 4 track. The small field suits as she is likely to get back and with a track into it before the turn, she will be right in this. Good eachway chance.

Race 3

Confidence:2/5

5.Lucky Simon looked good winning both of his trials. The first coming from the back and the second leading. Nice galloper and drawn to get a winning run. RP $3.20, $3.60

Race 4

Confidence:2/5

11.Narince  looked very good in her trial at Ellerslie when she flew the gates, took a trail and settled nicely, then could have won if pushed but ran a close second while the others were being pushed out. Nice looking galloper from the local Gibbs stable. RP $4, $4.80 FF

Race 5

Confidence:2/5

9.Joeys Gift finally had the blinkers go on last start and raced much better on the pace. She just went down to the handy Highborn. Drawn to get a winning run and won her maiden here. A Soft track should be ok. RP $4, $5 FF

Race 6

Confidence:1/5 in an open race

In order: 13-9-8-6-4

Race 7

Confidence: 1/5

You can make a case for every horse winning this so go wide. In order: 5-4-6-8-3-9
