Race 1

5.The Belvoir has been rating strongly in better fields against race winners. Last start, he kept on fighting well to the line in a stronger maiden over 2000m. He looks a definite improver out of that and from the draw, should land about 6th or 7th outer and looks set to beat these. A Good 3 track should be ok as he can run above average sectionals on better tracks. RP $4, $4.80 FF

3.Snatch  ran a top 4th last start after using petrol to lead and fought well to be 2nd 50m out and get swamped late. Could lead them a merry chase on the Good 3 track and be the one to run down.

Race 2

1.Phinston  last start second up showed very good natural early speed to lead then another kicked up inside him to dispute a solid tempo, faster than the R65s to the 600 metres. The inside horse weakened but he kept fighting for second in better time than the R65 field which was raced just after his race. So third up, with the blinkers going on at the right time, he looks well placed to probably sit 2nd outer or even take a trail as there are a couple of others who will looking to lead or be on it. From there, he looks hard to beat. RP $2.50, $3.00 FF

2.Free Thyme  placed against much better fields last campaign. Looks a definite improver and main danger.

Race 3

I have no doubt 2.Last Resort  is the most progressive runner here but from the wide draw, will need luck as he maps to be caught wide, so in order, 2-1-3-5-9-10-7

Race 4

Only 6 runners but the market and after going through them, any one of them could win, so field job.

Race 5

7.So Unusual  looks a definite improver off his strong third on debut, but it is an even field, so include 2.Jameson and 11.Raccourci in quaddies.

Race 6

Open race with five winning chances in order: 5-1-4-7-3

Race 7

10-2-1-4 should cover this leg.

Race 8

2-13-1 look set to fight this out.

Race 1

1.Leave It To Me put in a huge effort last start after getting back, moved round to led 800m, trailed, then came again. He signalled a win at the start before and Samantha Wynne will give him a winning trip this time I’m sure. RP $2.70, $3.80 FF

Race 5

1.Redmond will definitely appreciate the wetter track and more ground based on his action. Drawn to get a good run and Tina C will give him every chance. RP $3.40, $3.80 FF

Race 6

3.Zac Black  won very well last start and stays in the same grade. He has won on a 1.16 and 1.19 ( for 1200m ) so will handle any more rain on the heavy 8 track. RP $7, $9 FF

Race 8

6.Stellar Creek has looked very good in her career so far. This is a step up but looks capable of beating these. RP $4, $4.50 FF

Race 11

5.Athene  steps up to an ideal distance for her third up. She ran on really well for fourth last start, after she had to check off heels late, but still was in front soon after the post. Drawn to stay away from the fence if that is off and back slightly in class means she is well placed to win. Has won second up at both of her last two campaigns and handles a wet track well. RP $2.40, $2.80 FF
