4.Meandeel  looks ready to strike third up. He closed off strongly for a close 4th last start at Matamata and was a bit wayward down the straight. The visor blinkers come off and he may be better right handed too.  He gallops very much like his dad, Dundeel with a high knee action, so a heavy 10 will hold no fears. Will get back but with an even tempo likely, he should get his chance to balance up and charge home over these. RP $3.60, $5.50 FF

5.Zedman rates very well on a heavy track and has won fresh up over 2200m at Ellerslie on a heavy track. Gets 3kgs off and should be a good eachway chance. RP $12, $21 FF

 

Race 5

2.Aqua Man  last start here closed off strongly for second here in a very good speed rating. Drawn out which should allow him to get back and get to the better ground wide and with the 4kgs off, is going to be hard to hold out. RP $2.50, $2.40 FF

 

Race 10

Confidence:2/5

1.Cakebytheocean 1st $3.80  ran a strong second last start second up. The speed rating was excellent and he should be ok with a heavy track. RP $3

Danger:

11.Ohiwa Sunset ran home strongly along the rail after being held up and looked to be hanging and was strong past the post. Looks better this way round and gets in on a winning weight.
