Thursday 16 February preview below

Cambridge

A weak program but Catch My Drift looks a good chance. Iridessa has a few things in her favour and could upset in the last.

I’ll post an update by noon if there are any Head to Head bets or other bets.

Bet of the Day Race 3 4.Catch My Drift $2.30 FF 3rd

Value Bet of the Day Race 6 4.Iridessa $7 FF 4th

Suggested quaddie for 20 % costing $9.60

R3 4
R4  1368
R5  125
R6  4578

Race 1

Confidence:2/5

9.Kaaptivating ran a strong third last start after working early. Strikes a weaker field here and looks hard to beat. RP $3.50, $4.00 FF

Race 2

Confidence: 2/5

1.Mr Bigglesworth almost won here fresh up and has won here. He will get back but with plenty of pace up front likely, he could bury them late. RP $4.50 FF

Race 3

Confidence:3/5

4.Catch My Drift broke through the gates last start but started the race. She pinged the gates and led and was run down late. Maybe if she hadn’t had the warm up before the race, she may have hung on. Side Winkers go on and looks the best anchor. RP $2.20, $2.30 FF

Race 4

Confidence:1/5

1.Tellurain fought on well here for third and should be improved by that. Michael McNab sticks with. RP $3.50, $4.60 FF

Dangers:

8.Pepe Peperoni won her trial here and then ran a close 4th. With the right run, will go close.

3.Shootin To Saks went an improver’s race last start.

6.Symphony has trialed up nicely in blinkers and if he can lead, could upset.

Race 5

Confidence:1/5

5.Johnnie Castle ran a game second here last start and has drawn the inside again. With natural improvement he is the one to beat. $3.50, $4.20 FF

Dangers:

1.Seamsew has been going good races in stronger fields and is a chance.

2.Singing Sun won his trial here easily but has draw out in the 970m rave. He took a while to lead in his trail and is making his debut as a 6yo. $3.30 is too short.

Race 6

Confidence:2/5

4.Iridessa rates on top here and has four things in her favour. The inside draw, 2kgs off, Kelsey Hannan and the fact that she looks the leader here and can get an uncontested lead. Against is that she is a 7yo mare and went a below average race last start. But if she gets that cheap lead, it will be no surprise to see her win. RP $5, $7.00FF

Dangers:

8.Stratty’s Way is up in class but this is a weak R60. She has a light weight and with the right run, can be in it.

7.Side Hustle has the blinkers going on and in this weak company, that could be all the help she needs.

5.Te Poropiti has won on the course and if he can trail the leader, can do it again.
