1.State Of Fear fresh up was badly checked on the turn when mounting a promising run, rebalanced then worked home well. Then at Taupo was caught midfield 3 wide in the open off an even pace and led in the straight, only to be run down by the favourite who got a good run. So third up here, with Craig Grylls on, over 2200m from a good draw, he dos look well placed. His action suggests he will handle a heavy 8 track. $1.90, $1.90 FF

5.She Turns Heads last start looked in need of 1400m and left handed. She is a big filly and more ground will suit, plus she was running out right handed and wasn’t comfortable. Third up, against a weak field, she looks hard to beat with Sam Weatherley on again. a Heavy 8 should not be an excuse to lose. RP $1.80. $1.85 FF

4.The Odyssey is out of 6 win and Thorndon Group1 winning mare in Macavelli Miss. He blew the start fresh up and if he had got a clear run in the straight, would have tested the winner! Courtney Barnes rode him in his trial win and got him away ok, and she jumps on here. Only a small field and obviously has the ability to win. RP $2.00, $2.30 FF
