Matamata free preview

Good morning.
I know I said I am taking a break over the Winter but I want to keep my hand in. So I will be doing the odd free meeting preview and the weekly reviews will still continue. I cut right back on my betting during these wet months for obvious reasons. I suggest you do the same. We are in for some good racing next season which I am really looking forward to.

Below are runners racing at Matamata tomorrow that look well placed.
Matamata
Race 1
Confidence:2/5 Scratched
8.Bamboozle ever since his stylish finish for 6th here at Matamata on a Soft track in the second fastest last 200m, and getting hampered 100m out, have I been watching him. He has been held up in his two runs right handed and has been full of running. He hung last start at Counties and is better this way round. The side winkers go on and a heap of gear comes off. Snap, a brilliant mare who won an Oaks, is in her bloodlines. Drawn wide but will settle back anyway. There looks to be an even tempo, so if Vinnie Colgan can get onto the backside of the right one, he will be hard to keep out. He has a good wet track action and being by Tavistock ( 28% win strike rate on Slow and Heavy) and no concerns there. He strikes an average midweek field. Rated price $3.60 ( Bonus Back bet if 2nd or 3rd. )
Dangers: 6.Talentoso $3.20 He ran home here over 1600m in the fastest last 200m with the blinkers going on. They came off last start when he battled into 4th and over 2000m for the first time and they go back on now. He looks the one tom beat.
Recommended bet: 2 units a win 8.Bamboozle. 1 unit a win 6.Talentoso
Race 3
The speed map shows an even speed:

Confidence:3/5
2.Whiskey ‘N Roses is making his debut here and there has been some early money for him. And after viewing his trial and breaking down his sectionals, you can see why. He settled off the pace in the 800m trial and unleashed a powerful last 200m in 10.56 seconds and was relishing the soft ground with Joe Doyle on board. When compared to the Open class heat Quality Time ran home the best in 10.96 seconds and he ran a great race for second last weekend at nice odds in an Open Handicap. Quality Time’s heat was run in 45.86 and Whiskey ‘N Roses in 45.86, at a slightly slower pace, but that last 200m was his most impressive. Bellardo has a 26% strike rate on Soft to Heavy tracks and his action says he should handle it too. From the draw should get a good run off the pace then with a good drag into it, can unleash that sprint he showed. RP $3.20, Opened $5.50 and into $3.90 FF now.
