Weekly review week ending 26 May 2024

Dubai Diva Race 6 Pukekohe 25 May
She was crowded up at the start and got back but came home in the best sectionals for second. She will improve off that.
Thunder Race 7 Pukekohe 25 May
He was slow away but came home strongly for fifth in the best 200 metres. He can pick up another win soon.
Diamond Jak Race 8 Pukekohe 25 May
He was slow away and settled last but came strongly down the outer in the best last 200 for third. Over more ground he will be tough to beat.
Lewin Race 1 Trentham 25 May
She was slow away and settled last but the way she came home for second, in the best sectionals tells us over more ground she will be tough to hold out.
Belle’s Echo Race 3 Trentham 25 May
She settled behind the pace and came through in the slower ground for second, while the winner was in the better ground. She had the best closing sectionals and is in great form.
Steal My Thunder Race 5 Trentham 25 May
She raced on the pace and fought hard for second in good sectionals. The tongue tie going on may have helped also, so watch out for her third up and fitter.
Who Knows Race 8 Woodville 26 May
She was impressive at the trials and was even more impressive winning here. She was three wide in the open and travelled like the winner all the way. Her sectionals and race time were excellent and she relished her work. Should be tough to beat up in grade.
Talentoso Race 3 Taupo 22 May
He was taken back to the rear and he closed off strongly for fourth on the tight Taupo track. His closing sectionals were the best in the race and he must win soon.
Saluto Race 7 Taupo 22 May
She lost 5 lengths at the start and still managed to run second in the best closing sectionals! She is better than a maiden.
Maryweka Race 2 Taupo 22 May
She was caught 3 wide in the open off a slow pace and did well to hold on for fourth in decent sectionals. She should be harder to beat third up next start.
