Reviews & Sectionals

Week ending 28 July 2024

Swindle Race 2 Te Rapa 27 July

She did very well to win this after sitting three wide in the open and was still able to run the fastest last 600m all day. She maybe getting stronger now and can grab one more before going out for a spell.

Did The Trick Race 5 Te Rapa 27 July

Worked three wide in the open and still stuck on for second in strong sectionals. An on pace runner with a good future.

Enchanted Elle Race 6 Te Rapa 27 July

She moved into it strongly and fought well for third in sectionals that say she will be spot on next up in the right race.

Farravallo Race 4 Otaki 27 July

She soon set the pace and won well. Her last 200 metres was the fastest in the race so she did it easily and should cope with the rise in class next up.

Harmonious Race 7 Otaki 27 July

After settling midfield, she slowly got shuffled back to near the rear to the turn. But she unleashed a very good finish to run second in by far the best sectionals of the race. Third up, she can go one better.

Correction Race 9 Riccarton  26 July

From a wide draw he was snagged back to settle at the rear. The winner, June Bug, had stolen a march and he had no chance of winning but ran on very strongly for 6th, in the fastest last 600m of the day. He can win an R65 race on that.

Island Hop Race 6 Awapuni 25 July

He may be seven but the way he rounded these up and won in excellent sectionals and race time, shows he can win another R75 race.

Social Climber Race 2 Rotorua 25 July

It was only her debut run but she settled well second outer and ran away and won stylishly and ran the quickest last 600 all day. She was a bit nervous before the start so can only improve off that run.

Goldiluxe Race 5 Cambridge 24 July

She was caught 3 wide in the open on the pace but stuck on in good sectionals. She will improve with that and can win at her next couple of starts.

Tisse Race 4 Hawera 23 July

He was a bit slow away and settled in the rear. But he closed strongly wide out and ran second to a good one. His closing sectionals were the best in the race and the blinkers going on helped. One to watch out for wherever he goes.
