5.Foxglove rated very strongly last campaign and is ready to win fresh up based on her trials. She has had three trials and in the last one settled back and came home strongly full of running. The negative is she maps to settled near the back but there is speed out wide that should ensure an even pace.

4.Twain put in a top effort last start to win with topweight in good time. Up in class but drawn ideally to track the speed and come with the last run at them. RP $4, $5.50 FF

4.Class looks to well placed here to get a soft lead and maybe steal this. He did exactly that on debut. He has the breeding to be able to do it and the two favourites map to settle off the pace. RP $4.20, $7 FF

8.King Of The North is a nice galloper who ran well for third fresh up. He has been scratched recently and been saved for this better stake. From an in-form stable. Drawn well and from around midfield he can beat these. RP $5, $6.50 FF

2.Frostfair won easily last start after winning here. He trialed up at Pukekohe and looked ready to win fresh up. Drawn to get an ideal trip and be very hard to beat. RP $1.80, $2.60 FF

1.Real Class came home strongly for third last start and is a big strong filly suited to more ground. Her dam was tough over ground. RP $4, $5.50 FF

10.Mary Shan ran a strong second last start at Matamata. Last campaign she had the blinkers go on for the first time and bolted in. They go on here, again at the right time, drawn well and is weighted to win. RP $3.80, $5.00 FF

10.Son Of Sun won well last start and has won over 2400m here. Maps to get a good run again and weighted to be the one to beat. RP $4.50, $6 FF

4.Risque Ruler was impressive last start when coming from the back to get up and win in in the strongest sectionals. In fact he ran the fastest last 200m of the meeting over the 1300m, just faster than Snazzytavi which was a sprint home. There looks to be an even tempo here so she should be very hard to keep out.
