I’ve spent most of the day doing the form for Ellerslie. Race 4 is a really interesting race. Return To Conquer, with the Blinkers going on, looks a strong chance but there are seven horses on the speed map who will be looking to be on pace! So he will need some luck in running. If you are looking for a good roughie for the race, Miss Ziggy came home really well in the Karaka Millions in the excellent sectionals, and they didn’t go as hard as they are likely to go in this. She is paying $18 and probably more closer to start time. Maybe a Top 4 bet at around $3.

Confidence:3/5 3rd every chance with a funny run.
3.Goldluxe ran a good race in a stronger field last start when he was checked during the race and stuck on well to grab third. The speed rating was average but he rates on top in the Formpro Ratings for the last start. He maps to land outside the leader and get an ideal run and strikes a very weak field. There is also a few gear changes which will help. RP $1.80, $2.25 FF

3.Lachie has improved nicely at each of his last four starts. Gets a 2kg allowance now and right at his peak and maps to get a good trip. RP $3.30, $3.50
