An interesting day of racing albeit on a heavy track again.
I’m confident High Emotion will be very hard to beat and it was a toss up between Transaction and Principled for the value bet of the day, but went with the race fitness of Principled.

Confidence:3/5 Bet of the day 2nd and every chance
3.High Emotion in the formline it says ‘Stld Midf, Imprv Tn, ROS Close’ but it actually led out, set a good pace, lay out in the straight, lost the whip 200m out, held on to win, only to lose it in the inquiry room. The wind was blowing that day too which didn’t help. She will be better suited right handed and showed that at when winning at then Avondale trials leading all then way. RP $1.90, $2.50 FF

11.Transaction won very well at Te Aroha on a slow/heavy track and in her recent trial against better horses than these, came from off the pace and worked home very nicely for 4th under a hold, in a very good last 200m. She handles wet tracks and Sam Collett stays on. RP $4, $5.50 FF

Confidence:2/5 Value bet of the day 1st $7.80
6.Principled ran a very good race last start when snagged back outer, wider on the turn, and rattled home for 5th in the best last 200m and just ahead of him was Sneak Peek who won next up. He is third up here and ready to win from the good draw. $4. $5.50 FF
