Saturday preview

Saturday preview 2 winners, 2 secons and a 4th for a level stakes profit on what was always going to be tough day
Just two very good bets at Pukekohe, Atmospheric and Harvey Wallbanger. They are paying just over $100 for every $10 for the multi.
There are 18 races in New Zealand today and 13 of them, I feel, are too open to make a selection with great confidence. The selections below are well placed to win, and are at good value, and we get some decent surfaces to race on. Some of have commented on how useful you find the Rated Prices (RP) They are there to reflect my opinion of their chances and to see if you are getting value. If you bet to prices I suggest using the Value Staking Plan to get your punting in order. It is logical and works out exactly how much to put on each bet.
Some of you made some very good money yesterday, so I don’t want you to lose that.
Enjoy the ride.

Pukekohe
Race 2
Confidence:3/5 2nd
3.Atmospheric let us down here last time when he was slow away and settle last but came home very strongly for sixth and ran the best last 800m. The blinkers come off and he steps to the ideal distance of 2100m. Will get back but the long straight will ensure he can use his powerful finish. RP $3.20, $3.80 FF $4.60 Odds Surge
Race 4
Confidence:4/5 Bet of the day 2nd after a slow start and putting in a huge run, but they don’t pay out on huge runs!
1.Harvey Wallbanger looked very, very good winning his trial and was even more impressive in his debut win. Has an excellent action and plenty of acceleration, plus he looks very comfortable this way round. Hard to beat! $1.50, $2.70 FF, $3.10 Odds Surge
Race 8
Confidence:2/5 Value bet of the day 4th
6.Arabian Songbird has won her last two races in stylish fashion. She has trained on really well and is suited by the long straight and the 12 hose field. RP $5, $6 FF, $7 Odds Surge
Whanganui
Race 2
Confidence:4/5 Bonus Back race 1st 2,30
4.Passiflora won very well at Cambridge when drawing wide and having to work to the lead, was well rated and still kicked and won in a very good speed rating. Then she started at Tauranga right handed and led and wasn’t well rated and got swamped in the last 100m. She looks more comfortable left handed, should lead and win. RP $1.50, $1.75 FF
Race 7
Confidence:2/5 1st $5.30
3.Royal Flower has had three runs back now and showed with her last start where she drew wide, snagged back, and finished off hard for 5th in the best closing sectionals. This time she is peaking, drawn well, and the blinkers come off, which happened when she won last time. She is a tough mare and could pay more closer to start time. RP $3.20,, $3.70FF
