3.Shameless Star won well second up last campaign and is second up here after a strong run here when 2nd to Finest Hour. She gets 2kgs off and maps to land 4th outer and should come with a well timed finish to get up. RP $1.70, $2.00 FF
Dangers:
5.Bodacious Kate has the blinkers going on, which almost did the trick last time they went on, and she looks like she will get the lead. If not taken on she will get a break on the turn and is the one the Star has to run down. RP $3.50, $4 FF

3.Champagne Wishes looks well placed here. She began well then eased for the trail, then fought on well in a stronger field of race winners to run third. She has drawn 1 here and should either lead or trail and get her chance to win. Favourite Suave looks no value at $2.70 as her trial win was the very slow and she had to win it off the front. 1.Butler Cabin went a great race in the Karaka Millions when he had the worst run 3 wide in the open and stuck on gamely for 5th. He rates well clear of these and if he can get a decent run from the barrier, he will be hard to beat. RP $2.40, $3.90 FF
Race 7

4.Not So Unusual is a tough stayer as she showed when trailing a strong pace at Otaki, then leading in the straight and held on bravely to win in 2.07.8 which was the second fastest time there for a long time. Then he ran on strongly for 3rd in a stronger field last start. He has drawn 1 again and he needs to be ridden hard early to get handy, then before the turn, get out and put the pressure on them early and he can simply out- stay them. RP $2.50, $2.90 FF
