Shalabiya Race 2 Ruakaka 1 August

This was a top class run on the eye and the figures backed it up. The race time and the the closing 600 metres were outstanding and that was on her debut! She can only improve so looks a very exciting filly.

I’m Lulu Race 3 Ruakaka 1 August

She was at the rear of the field when they walked it up front. So for her to finish off for fourth, just over a length off the winner, means she is on track to win again.

Seduire Race 5 Ruakaka 1 August

She was caught at the back on the inner in a slowly run race then had an interrupted run in the straight, then hit the line well in the second best closing sectionals. She can improve on that in a better tempo race.

Miss Seth Race 8 Ruakaka 1 August

She settled well back but came with a powerful late run for third in the best closing sectionals. She is one to be on in two weeks time over 1600 metres.

Mercy Race 4 Riccarton 1 August

She drew wide and raced wide without cover, then finished strongly for second in excellent sectionals for the amount of ground she covered. She looks hard to beat next time.

What She Wants Race 5 Riccarton 1 August

She settled three wide with cover and kept coming with a sustained run, to finish second in very good sectionals. Third up she can go one better.

Belzoni Race 8 Riccarton 1 August

This full brother to seven win Caitlyn’s Wish, was back on the inner, but once he got to the better ground out wide, sustained a strong sprint to almost win. He is ready to go one better.

Penvose Lad Race 9 Riccarton 1 August

He may have only run tenth, but he got back, looked for a run wider around the final turn, then had to  switch to the slower inner ground, and ran home nicely in good sectionals. One to upset soon.

Dojakata Race 6 Whanganui 1 August

She was having her first run over ground this campaign and did very well to be back, improve wide around the final bend, then stick on well for third in the second best sectionals of the race. She should improve off that.

Winter Rose Race 4 Whanganui 1 August

She settled back and sustained a long run from the 600m mark to run second. She was hampered near the 100m mark but not enough to change placings. She is ready to go one better.
