4.The Darzi finally gets a decent draw. he has begun alright but had to snag back and it has cost him a winning chance. Drawn 2 this time with Craig Grylls on, he will get him out and settle handy, so he can use his finishing burst to good effect. And he has the blinkers going on which will help him focus. RP $3, $3.20 FF
Race 2
Confidence:2/5 Bonus Back Race 3rd
2.Arrazola is a full sister to the 6 win mare Mary Shan and went a very good race fresh up, when she got back and was checked on the turn and Masa lost his irons on one side. But he was able to get her up for third on the inside which was a bit slower. He rides her again and will be keen to make amends. Qualifies for the Pearl Bonus. RP $4, $5.50 FF
Race 4
Confidence:2/5 1st $3.50
1.Getupoffathatthing looked a very good galloper when he won his trial at Te Awamutu. He ran the second fastest last 600m all day and has a very nice action. He wasn’t pushed at all in his first trial and looks too good for these. The only negative will be listening to George Simon trying to pronounce his name! RP $2.70, $2.40 FF
Dangers:
3.Whistlejacket won his trial strongly in a fast time and has drawn well.
6.Imperial Rose won her trial well but has drawn out and with plenty of speed inside her, will have to work hard early or snag and Getupoffathatthing looks to have her measure.
Race 5
Confidence:2/5
6.Via Fontanelle was a $320k buy and led up and battled well for 4th on debut behind Pounce. In her latest trial missed the start by 10L, caught the field and finished just behind them with no room wanting to go faster. With the right run can cause a minor upset. Jumped well in the trial before that. RP $4.50, $7.50 FF
Dangers:
1.Capital Express is ready to go after a useful efforts. The trail win was good.
4.Rip Tide 1st $5 drawn wide but finished well for 2nd in a slow trial. Craig Grylls rides.
5.The Queens Award ran on ok on debut and in her last trial, wasn’t fast away but was doing some good work late with a good wet track action. Drawn well.
Race 6
Confidence:2/5
9.All On Black has been impressive at the trials and despite the wide draw, can win. RP $3
Dangers:
1.Tiago 1st $3.40 raced keenly 3 wide in the open and ran on well for third. Drawn well and 3kgs off.
3.Camilla has run two good seconds but drawn wide here.
Race 7
Confidence:2/5 2nd
8.Admiral Vos ran a very good race on debut when caught 3 wide in the open at Ellerslie and fought on well for fourth in a better field than this. Has since run 2nd in a trial in very good time and wasn’t pushed. Drawn well and looks the leader. If the inside is still ok, can win. $2.40, $2.45

For quaddie takers it looks a field job. But in order: 9, 4, 8 1.
